I can’t help but think it sensible - as mentioned above - that any meeting may be kept brief.
I haven’t heard how H got here, but if it was in a plane full of people rather than a private flight, then it would be sensible to wait to see if any bug/illness presented itself. More so given that the King has been told to avoid meet/greets etc.
It is the reason most of my visits with dad have been through a window this year. I don’t want him to catch what I have and there are others in his ward to be mindful of too.
Not just my decision. His too and that of the fabulous hospital staff looking after him. His health (what there is of it) is too important to mess around with.
I haven’t once, as has been alluded to elsewhere about the King, thought he was trying to be a class A (insert an expletive of choice) - merely mindful that any bug/illness may interfere or compromise ongoing treatment.
It isn’t outwith the realms of possibility that the King will be erring on the side of caution either.
Perhaps the timing could have been a wee better. And although he was buggered either way, it may have been easier to pop across without any declaration of his intentions.
