Laughing, however, at the description of an apparently bespoke, several thousand dollar, full skirted, taffeta skirt by Carolina Herrera, that is so voluminous and long that the wearer needs to hold it in front of her in order to walk and people are treading on it as a “flared skirt”. Good marketing, CH, hope you are winning!

My cousin has the same skirt and wore it to the evening part of the celebrations when her daughter married. She wore it with a CH blouse that seemed to be made to go with the skirt. The outfit was beautiful and the skirt was anything but a flared skirt.

.haven’t been to the pictures in about 30 years so this would have passed me by.

Im at the pictures almost every week and haven’t seen any trailers for the film.

Oh it’s absolutely gorgeous @StrawberryJellyBelly , but not a casual look. Not that it matters, I think if someone wants to dress up, then go for it, I always do when I get the chance. Just own it instead of pretending people can’t see what they can see with their own eyes. I have much more respect for people who don’t give a fuck what people think than those who pretend they don’t, but spend their whole lives manufacturing a false image and gaslighting.

I wonder what Femi did between 11:46 and 11:47... pre 11:46 posts still stand. Does deletion kick in at the moment mods know it was a pbp? Or did Femi have some hidden code in all posts 11:47 onwards that the mod team cracked....

I saw it trailed before the following films; One Life, Ferrari, The Great Escaper and one other I can’t remember. 2 at an art house cinema, one at a Cineworld. It’s been on my list for a while.

But just think of all the pies you could smuggle into the cinema under it. You could have a whole hostess trolley’s worth. (I am also short and barrel shaped thanks to meno, but I still like a big skirt moment!)

I like dressing up as well.

Im laughing at the flared skirt comment and I think on the night Meghan tried to dress it down with the top she wore only for the outfit not to look in proportion.

I'd love to try the skirt on. I've never worn anything like that.

It was beautiful even though it’s not my style either. I’d really have loved the blouse though. It was everything a blouse should be. It was perfect.

Interestingly the venue /theatre was once the biggest building in Jamaica.

I bought a similar outfit from a very glamorous boutique in Italy last year. The skirt is maxi not floor length and more flared than ball gown style. I thought it would be a good outfit to wear when socialising in my husband's home country in the Middle East. However I just found it too hot so I was surprised to see M wearing something like that in Jamaica.

Its very art deco, I like it !

I think this is the same skirt, styled with a shirt and belt. Love this colour.

There’s a film I have seen trailed out shortly called Wicked Little Letters that looks amazing - one for the cess pit dwellers, or whatever the artist formerly known as Femiwhatsit called us.

That is a good look. I prefer that colour, and it looks good with a shirt.
