Well it is 8th on Amazon US Non fiction chart.

Behing amongst others a book by Snoop Dogg titled 'from crook to cook'

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 09/12/2023 14:23

Relevant to this thread as I think this shows the monarchy evolving, it was nice to see Wolfie with the other Royal children (although I think that must be hard for him mum)

OTOH my first thought was that it means that as he's with his father now, it'll his mother's turn for Christmas itself this year

HawthornLantern · 09/12/2023 14:28

Depressing though it is, I just checked the New York Times where Endgame is at number 12 and Amazon’s US site has it at number 8. Both sets of figures are for Endgame’s opening week (obviously!). Amazon’s ranking looks as if it includes multiple formats. I can’t see actual numbers of sales.

That's true.

Having to split your time with your child is hard for all separated parents, but to see your son in the paper/on the news must be particularly difficult. But maybe I am projecting.

I couldn't find actual sales on Amazon either but the formats include kindle/audible. (I am avoiding hoovering!)

in those circumstances I agree, but also I suppose Wolfie is old enough now to decide if he would like to go to the carol service if he is asked. I would imagine that he might be excited to go 🤷‍♀️

Abra1t · 09/12/2023 16:04

If you put the ebook ranking (or book book) and market in here (so amazon.com) it will give you a guesstimate of sales on Amazon.

I suspect his mum knows that growing up on the outskirts of the royal family could have tremendous benefits for her son as he grows older.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 09/12/2023 16:15

Lol, I always think old enough to be bribed! I do wonder what Louie gets promised 😆

cauliflowerwaterfall · 09/12/2023 16:17

I think his parents are on relatively good terms though aren’t they?

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 09/12/2023 16:19

Yes, as I said probably projecting. Anyway I thought the pictures and the welcoming into the family showed a monarchy that had moved with the times.

Maireas · 09/12/2023 16:22

I saw her as a judge on that interior design programme, she's lovely.

Do you know which chart, specifically?

Fantasy Fiction?

rosyglowcondition · 09/12/2023 20:07

Utterly disgraceful that OS has repeated the lie that William had an affair. Repeating a rumour, apparently isn't libellous.

So many deceptions in this book and so poorly written, going on my free sample.

I think the huge criticism of this book worldwide and the poor reviews has done more harm to OS and Harry and Meghan contrary to OS's intentions.

AliceOlive · 09/12/2023 23:12

Utterly disgraceful that OS has repeated the lie that William had an affair.

Even admitting he knew it wasn’t true.

His description of Camilla is despicable, also.

There are posters who profess to despise bullying who seem very keen to defend this book and its author, despite this.

If it was their worst year, then the only way is up

(and at least they didn't burn down Windsor Castle)

Not necessarily. It was just their worst year - so far.

AliceOlive · 10/12/2023 08:40

Harry stayed in a hotel in September?

Getthethrowonthesofa · 10/12/2023 08:41

Every year is their worst year,it just gets progressively worse. When we think they must have learned their lesson, they do even worse stuff. All of it own goals.

to be honest, if we think back to harry, the drinking, drugs, shagging in a field, dressing as a nazi, naked in vegas, how Chelsey said he just broke contact when he joined the military, the inability to sustain a relationship, the arrogant superior language ie wanting to make sure the queen had the right people Round her, like she was seriously mentally impaired and he was in charge, multitude of lies, the inability to take personal responsibility , I think he has always been a signficant problem.

but the royal family dealt with it, managed it, and then along came Meghan , who enabled it, egged him on,validated it, as she indulges in the same behaviour.

but yeah. I think this is who harry is, always has been, and now he’s unleashed upon the world and everyone can see what the royal family have carefully managed and hidden.

cocolocopocos · 10/12/2023 08:54

Harry reminds me of my MIL. Always making almost comically self-confident assertions about things he clearly knows nothing about.

Agree with this. I think he’s been a liability for a long time, and William in particular has tried to manage him and limit the damage. It could be he has mental health problems that have been carefully covered up. He’s lost every shred of goodwill he had from the public. Agree that M amplifies all his issues and since meeting her I think he’s become very unstable.
