I completely agree it is ok to call out offence.
It isn’t ok to clart almost a whole family (in public) with a slur that is unfairly sweeping (and therefore could be deeply damaging) and then retract it slightly with a mealie mouthed explanation of what they meant to say - long after the damaging insinuations/allegations.
Neither of them seem very reluctant to say their piece so why didn’t they address it? Why did they choose to drag his family through a media storm for something that he ended up saying wasn’t the case?
Shit or get off the pot as Barney would have said.
It is infinitely more damaging to make sweeping allegations than to state exactly who said what and in what context.
And not just to the RF by the way.
Having associated with this latest ‘ally’, H&M are going to be clarted with his slurs and observations. The debate will continue as to how much input they had.
The rumoured reconciliation is looking increasingly unlikely. Could it damage them (and their brand) going forward? Quite possibly. And for what?
A moment in the sun and having the world talk about them.
The folk that say all publicity is good publicity? I think they are mistaken.
