The royals and Dan Wootton: Byline Times part 1 of 3-year investigation into how Wootton got information about the royal family

Following their series about the Crisis in British Journalism and MediaToo movement, Byline Times reporters have recently released the first report of the 3 year investigation into the link between the royals and (disgraced) TV presenter Dan Wootton.

The first report reveals how Charles and William were angered that Harry refused to remove the name of an aide (William's aide in Kensington) who was paid cash to leak stories about his wife Meghan, and son Archie. This included investigations by the Met.

As a result, Charles removed the $700,000 granted to support them, which would have seen Harry and Meghan living in Canada and representing the Queen, in an effort to bring them back to the UK by exposing their location in Canada and removing their security. This was the collapse of the 'Sandringham Agreement', which resulted in the signing of the Sussexes media deals.

Some highlights, but can be bought for £3.6:

▪ It followed news that a partner of a key aide to Prince William received £4,000 from The Sun allegedly for stories about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when Wootton was executive editor.

▪ The Metropolitan Police looked into the alleged leaking but could not go to a judge for a warrant to search royal staff property without knowing the identity of the whistle-blowers.

▪ Two internal royal investigations followed – one involving Simon Case, who is today the embattled head of the civil service facing questions over the Government’s response to the pandemic.

▪ Byline Times has uncovered new photographic evidence of Wootton, the aide and the aide’s partner at a lavish private birthday party Wootton threw for his close friends in a £1,675-a-night hotel suite.

▪ Prince Harry sent formal ‘letters before action’ detailing the claims about Wootton and the palace to News UK.

▪ When the aide’s name was not removed from the legal letters, the Sussexes were cut adrift financially and left unable to protect themselves despite having a security threat level equal to the monarch.

▪ The royal household had thought the threat of exposure would force Harry and Meghan to return to the UK, where their profile could be controlled preventing them from eclipsing the future King

It was Meghan in particular that Bouzy mentioned as his client in 2022. For Heard it was her legal team, for Meghan it was simply Meghan Markle and no mention on research regarding Harry. From Bouzy own twitter

The actual article. The gist is, W&K have requested that H & M bring the children over next time they're in the country so they can get together, but Meghan is not keen to.

How likely is that to be true? How more likely it is manufactured PR to push the narrative that the Sussexes are in cotrol of when a reconciliation happens?

BTW - is it very quiet on the RF board these days or is it just me?

Nope, but it is still holidays and people might be away. 🙂

I think the chances of W and C invited the Sussex family over are zero . This smacks of H and M trying to gloss over the fact that they were not given advance notice about Catherine’s cancer . H and M are desperately trying to maintain the royal link .
And yes , the Sussex supporters seem to have gone to ground. ….

I think there’s no way in hell now.

I imagine they are still here but just lurking

@Prydddan Just watched the Talk TV royal roundup programme, and all the commentators think the journalist has completely made up that invitation story in order to provoke one side or the other to deny the story, thus creating a story in itself of the denial.

OneHeartySnail · 04/04/2024 20:25

I think that the posters who have dug in for the last few years with the narrative of 'anyone who criticises H&M are racist/forelock tuggers' etc are a bit challenged as evidence comes out.

Once that fades into ancient history (i.e a week ago) they will be back on the attack.

It is very difficult when idols turn.out to be dishonest.

Vespanest · 04/04/2024 20:31

I think there is lots of fire fighting happening on Twitter that is taking priority for Harry and Meghan supporters

OneHeartySnail · 04/04/2024 20:36

I am not on Twitter. But given it has been used on their behalf, it seems reasonable if it is used in the same way against them.

Personally i would prefer no-one is judged guilty on the basis of SM without evidence. Innocent until proved guilty should apply to everyone. But the Sussex Squad have taken a different view

With or without a donation, when does an intelligent man begin to act like a pubescent teenager in public role, the motivation has to be questioned by their employer. He’s gone private on Twitter now, probably feeling victimised himself.

He's apparently had cancer in the past. Shocking!

AliceOlive · 04/04/2024 23:11

Maybe. He’s admitted to lying about other things.

Edited

He reopened his Twitter and straight in with Princess Diana, personally people who use a dead mother who adored both her boys as a card to attack one side are the lowest of the low. Diana would be horrified at the relationship of her children and extra horrified she was being used to attack William and Catherine

Gorgonemilezola · 04/04/2024 23:39

Johnathan Perkins sounds.............not very clever. Reading some of the comments on his posts, there are many people who are...... not very clever. What a shit show. If I was Harry and Meghan I would be despairing at having supporters such as these.

OneHeartySnail · 05/04/2024 05:04

Reading his tweets, i get the impression they are not written for an audience that places any value on evidence. Or even common sense.

Vespanest · 05/04/2024 08:31

Johnathan Perks is now on a full rant with first amendment rights and suing the mail, whilst acting like a child with “isn’t she beautiful” style tweets about Meghan. A grown man. I don’t know if this grows support in the US, I just cannot understand how this raises the profile of the person you support and doesn’t just bring them and yourself down to gutter level.

Demonstrable of the absolute shit show of hiring idiots with an agenda to top positions in influential universities.
