The royals and Dan Wootton: Byline Times part 1 of 3-year investigation into how Wootton got information about the royal family

Following their series about the Crisis in British Journalism and MediaToo movement, Byline Times reporters have recently released the first report of the 3 year investigation into the link between the royals and (disgraced) TV presenter Dan Wootton.

The first report reveals how Charles and William were angered that Harry refused to remove the name of an aide (William's aide in Kensington) who was paid cash to leak stories about his wife Meghan, and son Archie. This included investigations by the Met.

As a result, Charles removed the $700,000 granted to support them, which would have seen Harry and Meghan living in Canada and representing the Queen, in an effort to bring them back to the UK by exposing their location in Canada and removing their security. This was the collapse of the 'Sandringham Agreement', which resulted in the signing of the Sussexes media deals.

Some highlights, but can be bought for £3.6:

▪ It followed news that a partner of a key aide to Prince William received £4,000 from The Sun allegedly for stories about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when Wootton was executive editor.

▪ The Metropolitan Police looked into the alleged leaking but could not go to a judge for a warrant to search royal staff property without knowing the identity of the whistle-blowers.

▪ Two internal royal investigations followed – one involving Simon Case, who is today the embattled head of the civil service facing questions over the Government’s response to the pandemic.

▪ Byline Times has uncovered new photographic evidence of Wootton, the aide and the aide’s partner at a lavish private birthday party Wootton threw for his close friends in a £1,675-a-night hotel suite.

▪ Prince Harry sent formal ‘letters before action’ detailing the claims about Wootton and the palace to News UK.

▪ When the aide’s name was not removed from the legal letters, the Sussexes were cut adrift financially and left unable to protect themselves despite having a security threat level equal to the monarch.

▪ The royal household had thought the threat of exposure would force Harry and Meghan to return to the UK, where their profile could be controlled preventing them from eclipsing the future King

There are so many posters that have mysteriously vanished. From the hardcore “I defend MM because she’s black” which was honest but I felt quite sorry for MM as it was such a reductive comment. Surely her superfans see more than that in her to defend. To the “I just don’t like bullying” (the IRONY of that now!” Usually followed by Andrew whataboutery whenever the Sussexes did something or made up something bizarre.

I will say that originally I was quite “ooh, glam royals” then the engagement interview made me feel nauseous, not bothering going to the Invictus event in Australia due to “tiredness” but mysteriously being able to make a swanky lunch. If you’re “tired” go and see the amputee war heroes, and skip the lunch. Or…. DO IT ANYWAY like the rest of BRF who were almost certainly “tired” in their 90s or with cancer. Running out of one market dramatically on tour (can anyone imagine Princess Anne or Sophie doing this?).

Then the jacking in of the marines memorial service for the Lion King was gross. Then claiming the amazing vanishing South African at the Lion King said her marriage had dancing in the streets akin to the moment of Mandela’s release (WHHYYYYYYY? Why say that? Where is this man?), touting for business there. Whinging no one asks if you’re ok on a tour of African countries is so tone deaf it’s jaw dropping. The mocking curtsy to the late Queen, the absurd comparison to the Little Mermaid “she lost her voice”, saying she couldn’t wear the same colours as any royals so was essentially forced to wear neutrals (does she think no one can check?!).

Lying to the court about colluding with Finding Freebies author, announcing with soulful sad eyes her passport was taken from her but not mentioning she managed to go to 11 (?) different countries while held as prisoner.

and yet with all of this, I still think Harry is the twat of the story. Privileged, spoilt, racist, unhelpful, dishonest about the job in question, absurd expectations and overegged the pudding entirely from day one. And if MY DH, had brought a photo of MIL into my labour and taken my gas and air, I’d have done more than make him move to California.

Betrayed is a bit strong. If long term posters (genuine people) who happen to not share the same views as you on Meghan have decided to stop posting how have you been betrayed?

I'd rather wonder why they have had to make that decision because if people are having a discussion where there are differing views and its all good faith then why do they feel the need to leave. Except from what I see they make a comment and then get jumped on and what they say is them turned into jokes (or as I prefer to see it as mocking them). This doesn't just happen on the RF threads, it happens on lots of other threads on various topics too. I am not saying you are someone who does that but in general I can understand why some people decide to stop posting.

I too don't post often because its ahppened to me whether its on RF threads or eother threads on this forum. Its really not in the spirit of this fourm I think and to be honest the more I see the less I want to be on a forum because its no longer a genuine discussion, no longer understanding why someone has a different view and then challenging it in a polite way.

In no way are you being betrayed, infact I would say its a real shame becase it takes away from good healthy discussions and debates. Regardless though, People are free to come and go on this forum and post as and when they want to.

Edited

Is this the new script, ladies? We scared them all off the RF forum because they just couldn't take it any more? All of them, none of them, except Brave Temour.

Well @Puzzledandpissedoff I guess the newer part is the stuff about the Sussex Squad, Christopher Bouzy and Johnathan Perks, their suspected organised trolling and bullying of W+K and how they are linked to H+M. Also in the press lately.

You're right, hugh, but the trouble is it's all the usual Twitter rubbish, largely taking part of what's a cesspit at the best of times - though I believe Bouzy runs his own website too

I agree, though, that H&M's possible links to/driving of all this is something that's worth watching, and like others suspect there's more to come out on this

ArcaneWireless · 08/04/2024 22:28

I think most will be safe enough.

I hear that the squad can’t go up stairs.

I’m more worried that Daleks are promoting the withdrawal method.

I suspect many of the squad are a result of that kind of caper.

There's a massive difference in going after individual posters (which nobody here is doing, I don't think) and making observations on an unusual phenomenon; namely, the sudden influx of new posters saying utterly vile things about Catherine as per the SS script, and their sudden departure upon the Sussex Squad scandal being talked about in MSM. But not just them, everyone else whose opinions might be sympathetic to H&M going too. The betrayal @Prydddan mentioned has nothing to do with good faith and even heated discussion with opposing voices with a regular presence, and everything to do with the uneasy feeling that some of these discussions were never in good faith with, for want of a better term, "normal" people, and that we were being played by an organised group.
