What surreptitious timing, Thomas Markle has been wheeled out again, let's hear what he has to say.

The man clearly was not “spectacle for the world” ready so his not attending the wedding must have brought a sigh of relief.

I still would have thought Meghan could have stumped up a few more Doria-side relatives.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 21/09/2023 13:08

@Roussette@Samcro@skullbabe@MissElinorDashwood

Thomas Jr has done yet another YouTube interview with two conspiracy theorists. In this one, among many things, he says he and his father are writing a book together, and says that he started his YouTube video to make his father laugh and that his father thinks it's uproariously funny and should go global.

So you have these two men watching and laughing as one of them, in blackface, simulates sex between a Harry doll and a Meghan doll.

Meghan should stay out of this shitshow, and keep her kids far, far away!

They also discussed a Go Fund for those who sympathise with Thomas. I am sure the more supportive Mumsnetters on this thread will be happy to chip in, if only to show Meghan that they can take care of her father better than she can!

It's time to take care of Daddy!

Roussette · 21/09/2023 13:45

@MrsMaxDeWinter

How revolting they are. I honestly think they're unhinged. Thomas Jr puts out a video every week or two, transposing Meghan's or Harry's face onto various cruel images and saying all sorts of bizarre and frankly dangerous statements.

I don't think they will ever stop. He has also said he will do a docuseries next year to set it all out. I imagine everyone in the industry knows they are all batshit and vengeful and it won't happen so it'll be back to YouTube
Shame on GMB for giving TM a platform.

Well done H&M for keeping away from this shitshow. And never speaking about it

Iwantcakeeveryday · 21/09/2023 13:49

How revolting. It is a disgrace that GMB has him on.

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 14:23

The larger question is, who was behind GMB’s decision to platform him?

A deliberate decision was made to ignore the injured veterans at the IG, and to instead dedicate three segments and almost an hour on Meghan (who left almost four years ago) and her loser father.

Someone at the top clearly felt rattled and threatened enough by her undoubted popularity and success not just in Germany, but globally (800 accredited journalists were present).

With everything that’s going on in the world and our country, this is what they chose to focus on for the majority of Monday’s program. There was a reason for this.

If it’s any consolation, the views on Mumsnet aren’t reflective of the real world. The majority of the population saw this for the hit job that it was….and they are questioning the royals suspect relationship with our media.

Roussette · 21/09/2023 14:29

I too would love to know who and why. @MissElinorDashwood

It did them no favours whatsoever and Richard Madeley is on thin ice anyway. (Have you seen his interview with the President of Guyana about reparations for slave trade? It was shocking. But what a gentleman the President was)

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 14:31

@MrsMaxDeWinter I stand by my opinion that after knowing everything that we know about TM, if you still defend and feel sorry for him, then it reflects poorly on you.

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 14:43

@Roussette

Susanna Reid, in particular, risked her reputation. Richard has always been a douchbag.

She must really want that OBE/CBE for her “services”.

skullbabe · 21/09/2023 14:44

Good god.

I hope this puts to bed the repeated insistence that Meghan have a relationship with Thomas.

PrincessOfTigger · 21/09/2023 14:45

It’s because that’s what viewers of GB News want to watch

skullbabe · 21/09/2023 14:45

I don’t know how RM was not embarrassed to be speaking to a Head of State in such a manner. It was shocking.

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 14:46

PrincessOfTigger · 21/09/2023 14:45

It was GMB on ITV.

PrincessOfTigger · 21/09/2023 14:45

That's actually quite sad.

I used to watch GMB or its predecessor but then it dumbed down massively and I moved away

So I haven't watched it properly for many years, it's obviously got a lot worse

Whoknowshow · 21/09/2023 15:03

I haven’t watched GMB for ages.

I do not care for the aggressive gladiatorial style of interviewing by RM or SR.

I’m all for calling people to task but it comes across like nasty bullying in most cases. It isn’t journalism as I know it.

They think they are Archie Pluff acting like that.

They ain’t.

PrincessOfTigger · 21/09/2023 15:04

Sorry I meant GMB not GB News… what a slip 🤣

I stopped watching when they started to platform extreme right wingers from the US like Sebastian Gorka etc. There was a clear agenda to replicate US toxic politics and the culture wars.

Admittedly, I watched GMB during lockdown to get updates regarding Covid.

To be honest, most of ITV’s weekly programming is very ‘tabloid centric’ from GMB to Loose Women, with ‘This Morning’ as the program most resembling the Daily Fail.

There was a good article discussing this very topic, I must look it up.

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 15:08

PrincessOfTigger · 21/09/2023 15:04

Well, they are similar. Many of their guests are borrowed from GB news.

MissElinorDashwood · 21/09/2023 15:21

Btw @Roussette i did see a clip of that interview with RM and the president of Guyana. It was unprofessional, to say the least.

Again, just like Monday’s program, this segment didn’t do the royal family any favours.

Maybe they should keep it up?

The media has certainly done more to damage the institution than anyone else. They can pat themselves on the back for the irreparable damage they are causing.

skullbabe · 21/09/2023 14:44

It won’t, unfortunately, but like I said, this says more about those who are insisting.

I thought it was just Piers Morgan who made it like that and stopped watching it during lockdown as they acted like they knew everything about how to handle a pandemic. I tuned in a couple of months ago and it's similar just with different people haranguing. Who wants that first thing in the morning? I decided to never watch again after seeing Ed Balls trying to Kathleen Stock in first place (all she showed him up). Arrogant twat.

Haha yes my last post said about it 😅

He's worse than Alan Partridge who is funny. RM us crass and ignorant

Ew. This seems so incestuous and creepy.

Oh my god, what is wrong with these people. How sick!

Poor Meghan.
