Normal service indeed with a flowery, inacurate puff piece which just begs to be refuted.

I address the inaccuracies here.. Well Harry was not the founder of the IG. It was set up by the Royal Foundation and the patrons were William, Kate and Harry. The man who did all the actual work in organising the games was the same one who did the London Olympics.
I suspect Harry does very little of the actual organising.

Harry book spare has received NO awards. It sold worldwide because it dished the dirt on others particularly the royal family. It was not a masterpiece.

Harry sat in the witness box at the old bailey and admitted he had no evidence to support his case.

His wife was attacked in the press for lying about her inlaws, making the end of life experience of the Queen miserable, making ridiculous word salad speeches, flying private jet while lecturing about the environment, wearing designer clothes to read to impoverished children, trying to destroy the BFR but claiming titles for her kids and clinging on to her own ... I could go on...

Icons they ain't.

Invictus Games is a puff piece?

Oh dear oh dear

Iwantcakeeveryday · 17/09/2023 17:53

Yet everyone involved says he is dedicated and present. None of them are going to learn much about real work while in the royal institution, but I shall take the word of those involved directly, that he is very hands on now.

colourwheelofortune · 17/09/2023 17:56

Puff piece as in the post above. Not the invictus games. until this post, things were quite calm. I felt it only proper to respond. If it had not been posted, I would not have responded. Simple

Janiie · 17/09/2023 17:58

'Icons they ain't'

Icons Grin.

Wonder if Harold is back home giving himself a round of applause with full rictus grinning situ <obvs> while planning his next gossip piece, his next chapter of Spare and how everything is Willy's fault. Have we had chapter and verse about The Funeral and Coronation, all the slights and grievances yet?

Meanwhile he's telling others to look forward! Riiiiighto.

Obviously the op was referring to a previous post Confused

You won't find anyone on here criticising the participants no matter how hard you try to twist it.

Funny how everywhere I read Harry was the founder when within the RF. Nowhere does it mention K&W, on Wiki with references at the foot. Have a read, some funds from Royal Foundation but that's it.
But according to you he barely had anything to do with it

Can I call your post a puff piece too?

I'm not twisting anything. I read your posts with the incessant insults, that's quite enough for me.

As I say, normal service is resumed, carry on with your rictus grins and wanging.
I'm out

It was nice while it lasted

It's a worthy cause. Shame it has been turned into the Harry and Meghan show, not good.

Its well documented it was set up by the Royal Foundation. Can't see why people try to rewrite history. No one mind's that its become Harry's project although it certainly is on the way to the meghan show

Iwantcakeeveryday · 17/09/2023 18:17

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games within the royal foundation when he was patron. The royal foundation was the foundation they all used to fund and facilitate their various charity work. If Harry didn't start Invictus, then similarly, William and Kate haven;t founded anything created within the royal foundation either.

TallerSally · 17/09/2023 18:21

Looks like I got a number of posters choking with indignation that someone might a) have a view radically different from theirs, and b) dare to express it...

Cue rage and insults, complete with 'alternative facts', to use an expression from the camp of someone they likely respect!

Very entertaining.

Keep'em coming!

Janiie · 17/09/2023 18:21

'I'm not twisting anything. I read your posts with the incessant insults, that's quite enough for me.'

You said the poster was calling the IG a puff piece when she was clearly referring to the previous lengthy adulation post. So you either misunderstood or were twisting what she said, which is it?

'My incessant insults' Grin. I find it laughable that this hypocrite who has done nothing but moan for years was fronting an event full of non moaners. The irony is hilarious. What next setting up a event for improving relationships with inlaws?! How many outfits could they rack up for that.

MissElinorDashwood · 17/09/2023 18:43

Please stop rehashing lies about the Invictus Games. All of these points were addressed in the previous Invictus thread. Posters presented irrefutable evidence. Go back and check over there for your answers. No one wants to waste their time repeating the same things in part two of that thread.

Im starting to think that this behaviour is deliberate.

Are you ok? I’m genuinely worried about you.

The history of the Invictus games was discussed thoroughly in the previous thread. The lies were cleared up with irrefutable evidence. Since the games this year, more evidence (first hands accounts of those involved from the very beginning) have spoken on record about how it was started, funded and Harry’s Involvement.

We are not going to rehash the same argument here or respond to hateful, vile posts.

It would be nice if everyone chose to focus on the games and Harry’ work and not take the bait.

Janiie · 17/09/2023 19:01

'Are you ok? I’m genuinely worried about you'

Fine thanks, you?

Much easier to patronise than respond to my points I s'pose.

So, hypothetically if Harold set up a group to support harmonious relationships with Inlaws and told everyone to look forward and not fester on slights and woes would you applaud that too ?! <as long as the clothes were nice obvs>

Thanks for sharing this :) I think its good to focus on the positive

James was the one who played happy birthday for Harry on the bagpipes when he and Meghan visited the Canadian Team.

I really want to thank you for keeping the positivity going - it’s been so great to see the games go off well. I’m so proud of all of the athletes who competed and really glad that it went well for both Harry logistics wise and for Meghan generally.

Twice I’ve been deleted for pointing out that I hope the same level of enthusiasm that is on this thread is afforded to veterans in other situations. I expect this will be deleted again: I don’t know who is reporting and why MN is bowing down to them.
