Harry loses HRH title

cobicat · 09/08/2023 05:36

Harry's 'HRH' has reportedly been removed from his listing on the RF website. Seems about time, really? Odd that Meghan's wasn't removed too, perhaps an oversight? Or are they making the changes gradually in the hope that no-one will notice...

I have just seen hers was removed 3 years ago?

AutumnCrow · 09/08/2023 05:57

Who’s in charge of this website? The palace cat? Sounds like a very shoddy operation. (Sorry, cat.)

Unless the reporting is wrong … I’m a bit cynical about the old ‘royal reporting’ these days. Some of it is just mad.

Cupcakegirl13 · 09/08/2023 06:03

Yes it defo says Meghan’s went 3 years ago. It all seems bizarre to me that it taken then
this long !

PrincessTigger · 09/08/2023 07:05

Don’t forget it’s “silly season” - nothing happening because they’re all on holiday so the tabloids are generating stories out of thin air (W not wearing kilts another one!)

AutumnCrow · 09/08/2023 07:12

Talking of 'Silly Season', I just had a look a look at the Daily Express (among other online 'news' publications) and it's particularly nuts today.

I do wish that the Palace would sort that bloody website out though. Millions of pounds, dozens and dozens of office staff, and they didn't prepare digitally for the accession of the King? Weird.

sashagabadon · 09/08/2023 07:18

I think they are wise to make changes slowly and randomly on the royal website. If they were bang up to date all the time, it would become a main news source and something people look at constantly for any change and read conspiracy theories into every little thing.
much better to be always behind on the news so everyone already knows any changes they make and the website does not become a focus

Samcro · 09/08/2023 07:27

i thought he lost it years ago. weird that it takes the hard working institution so long to update a website.

Morestrangerthings1 · 09/08/2023 07:57

Like Samcro, I thought it was gone years ago.

SophieTheWonderCat · 09/08/2023 08:11

There's no confusion. In 2020 a statement was issued saying Harry and Meghan would not be using HRH as they were stepping back. It seems that this is the first of it being removed from the website.

Ohpleeeease · 09/08/2023 09:34

It’s just admin. They are going through all the text and picking up where the HRH crops up. I suppose the RF have had other priorities in recent years.

Out of date websites annoy me though. It looks sloppy.

I've posted a couple of links from the RF website in the past few days and neither had been updated for many months.

Appallingly sloppy.

Ninaplant · 09/08/2023 12:02

Like they were even using the HRH 🤦🏻‍♀️

A non story spreading across tabloids and Murdock’s media in the US. The cynic in me questions the timing. Coinciding with Harry’s tour of Asia is purely coincidental I’m sure. I’m going to guess other changes will also be conveniently timed to generate more pointless & sensational headlines when advantageous to the firm.

Honestly, this is all so boring now. They need some competent grown ups at the Palace. My 10 year old could have updated everything in one go and without being tax funded!

This family is truly dysfunctional.

AliceOlive · 09/08/2023 13:09

I didn’t think he’d lost it. Only that he said he wouldn’t use it.

AliceOlive · 09/08/2023 13:09

Harry is touring Asia?

Pistolpose · 09/08/2023 13:11

Maybe it’s about time Harry and Meghan and the children were removed altogether and just working royals went on the royal website? Worked for the balcony so maybe the website. The sooner they are removed the better. Less oxygen given and hopefully they will disappear from our consciousness.

What would we talk about then?

MillWood85 · 09/08/2023 13:23

If he's raising money for these charities with his presence, one would assume that he's paying for his own travel/security/expenses and it's not coming out of any of their budgets. Otherwise it just comes off as a jolly at other peoples' expense.

"The beaming 38-year-old son of King Charles III told the crowd: 'I've been involved in many charities for most of my life and I get a huge amount of fulfilment giving back to as many people as possible. My life is charity, always has been, always will be." Source: DM.

I did laugh at that.

PrincessTigger · 09/08/2023 15:41

It’s not a conspiracy. All the tabloids are covering Harry’s trip so if it was it would be the worst conspiracy ever as they would be trying to cover up their OWN story 🤣

It’s silly season! The royals and politicians are on holiday, so there isn’t much to talk about. Hence such hits as “oh look they’ve updated a website WHAT DOES IT MEAN” and “why isn’t William wearing a kilt does he hate Scotland”

Me too.i.sure I remember thrm.saying that as they were not working Royals they wouldn't be using the HRH ?

The irony is I that folk, start constant threads about what ever slight they perceive H&M is currently guilty of and watch Netflix read their books etc that they Will.never disappear from public life

sorry but do you think if they are removed from the website, people will forget them?

Pistolpose · 09/08/2023 16:28

Sadly no. Maybe removing the royal connections, bit by bit, will at least distance them from the royal family they hate so much. Win win for the couple and the RF. maybe then they will start to earn respect and their own wealth and not rely on trashing their families.

Pistolpose · 09/08/2023 16:34

Personally I think they have kept open the Sussex Royal website as a one finger gesture to the royal family. After all they were prevented from merching the ‘royal’ word. Owning 2 websites myself, I can say for sure closing down the actual website and ceasing the hosting, will not lose them the domain name, provided they keep paying for it. So there’s no real reason to keep the website up.
