The old thread got closed, just as I was trying to quote tweet someone! So I've started this one, because this shitshow is still rumbling on

She lived in Britain as a member of the royal family for only two years. She's already done Oprah, the NF mockumentary and other whiny interviews. I really don't think she has much left to say.

A MM diary would have the knives out for Kate so that would pull a lot of interest. However, I wonder if it would just be the final nail in the coffin. They really need to find something positive to do that they are capable of delivering.

But how much can there be left to say? Kate seems to have been wary of Meghan from the start, and had her own work and 3 children to think about. I imagine encounters between them were few, and limited to 'work' events. It's not like they were besties.

I agree with you that royal gossip seems to be their only reliable source of income, but I also think they are close to scaping the bottom of that barrel.

I very much doubt it would be her diary, it would be embellished (read completely changed) to sound only positive to her and anything she wants to pursue and negative to key people who have tried to inhibit her 'career'.
My suspicions the actual diary would be more along the
Lines of 'bagging myself a prince to be the next Diana' and the journey of stomping over people in my way therein!

Not really, he has done it before, before they left. A bank I think. He talked about Diana. I think as long as he talks about his family then folks will pay to hear him. But it’s a once and done, it’s not like you’d have him back and of course, you’d soon run out of folks willing to pay a million to hear him

I think they did but if they are desperate I’m sure they will do a u turn. They will need the money to sustain their living standards.

I'm off to my mum's care home having spent til 4.30 this morning in a&e with her, waiting to have her scalp glued together. So I really do hope that their world is better than the real one because mine's not much fun.

Very few people 'make millions' from delivering speeches. We're talking the likes of Clinton, Obama and high profile business people who many of us have never heard of. A handful of people who bring prestige and bragging rights to an organisation. You can boast about that time you had Obama speak at your gala dinner,or point to that photo of you shaking hands with Bill Clinton at your convention last year.

How does the exiled 5th in line to the British throne or his wife who once played a paralegal on 'Suits' come even close to that level of prestige?

@Puzzledandpissedoff I think he just felt sorry for them and he had an empty house at the time and knew they needed a place to stay. Maybe he's just a nice guy? I dunno. And back in 2020 I think a lot of people DID feel sorry for them, understood that maybe they needed to get away, that the British press had been very critical of them, etc. They were an unknown quantity back then. People hadn't heard their story 50 times, all we knew was that no-one ever asked Meghan if she was okay [sob].

Taylor Perry appeared on their documentary dissing the RF, so clearly believes what he’s been told and continues to do so.

Perhaps he can underwrite their substantial future bills.

He may 'diss' the royal family, but you'd have to wonder if he'd have even taken their calls, let alone lent them a luxury home, if she had been just Meghan who played the paralegal on 'Suits,' and he mere former Captain Wales.

Well, clearly they still have some interest, this thread is about them after all. There are also lots on articles about them in the tabloids and on some tv channels. But most of these articles are negative, and that was before the "grifters" comment. Who knows how you turn that around? Whatever earning capacity they had must have been severely dented, and as we know, they lead a very expensive lifestyle together with a penchant for starting court cases. This is not going to end well.

I don’t know about Tyler Perry… he thought he was sheltering them but a freedom of information request to the LAPD revealed that it was the Sussex people who had informed the paparazzi that they were staying there.
