Well, yes. Aside from a brief Charles Dickens diversion, this thread has not been about appearance, or fashion, or Sussex Squad, or whatever. It is about the Sussex's business choices and brand development.

Yes but they're not doing that on this thread. If you could address the issues we are actually talking about on here, that would be great. What have we written that you disagree with, for instance?

I’ll start off by saying I’m no fashionista..

I think I said at the time that the person who fitted the Hertz frock did Meghan wrong. The dress itself was fine but I think it pulled in the wrong places and it would have sat better on her with the straps still on.

I enjoyed the Dickens diversion! Let's have more of those diversions, rather than the hostile ones. I spent a very boring commute thinking of different treatments for Miss Haversham. I think you could easily do a feminist approach to her story, but not make her a feminist hero IYSWIM. Show how she was ground down by patriarchal forces, a tragic hero whose potential was destroyed.

As for brand development? Said before and I’ll say it again, I think it will be a tricky road back for them due to their initial choices.

Too much negativity, too much information and too much focus on the past.

The thing with being negative is that it will often come right back at you. And once it does, it is hard to shake off.

I think before going on OW you need to be sure of your facts ... They must have discussed what they were going to talk about

I'm pretty certain Oprah insisted they didn't know what questions were going to be asked?
For all I know someone might actually believe it, just as they may have believed the faked headlines were the originals ... all of which makes me wonder if anything this couple come out with can be taken as fact

Fair enough, Howsimplywonderful, and yes you'd think so wouldn't you?

I wouldn't expect them to do it for the sake of others since any allegation, no matter how damaging, all seems to be grist to their mill, but at least by checking they might have avoided further damage to their own credibility

Partly that, but I think it is more that time has a way of getting to the truth of the matter. Whether you are presenting a 'selective' view of your family, or negotiating an expensive business deal that needs talent and hard work to deliver on.

What effect do we think that this new Omid Scobie book about the supposed downfall of the RF will have? Although he has written it, everyone knows he's Meghan's mouthpiece.

I reckon it will be received as more bitching by them about the RF, even if it doesn't directly quote H&M, and it will not be good for them or their creative credibility.

I think they are running out of road for any more RF 'revelations'.

They need to find a niche for themselves that is about what they are for and then deliver on it.
