No-one should be harassed, but at the same time isn't it sensible to take reasonable precautions?
E.g. if it's a hot day, and I am in my (imaginary!) bikini in the garden, and fancy going to get an ice cream, I could walk up the HIgh Street in my bikini to get an ice cream. I have every right to do that, I am not bothering anyone.
BUT, it is very likely I will get a lot of attention, maybe get filmed by some people, maybe that gets on-line, maybe then there are unkind comments about my appearance, speculation about my intentions and state of mind. All of which is out of my control.
OTOH, I could put on shorts and a T-shirt to get the ice cream, no-one pays me any attention, I get home and take them off and loll in the garden with a lolly.
Equally, if you are a high-profile person attending an event where the paparrazzi are likely to be, you don't want to be followed back to where you are staying, surely you just plan for it? Go to a hotel with good security, relax for a couple of hours (or stay the night), and wait for any paparrazzi to go?
It makes no sense to me.
