Article in the DM reporting that Rishi Sunak has apparently said Harry and Meghan's security issues in New York are not a priority for him when he was asked about the car chase. He is concentrating on policing and safety of people in this country.

Ah, ah, it was Suits that arranged that.

You’ve said that a couple of times. I don’t think that’s true - and certainly not the case in the UK.

Why on earth do people think they have a right to know what a complete stranger does with his own money?

Because that posters obsessed with H&M. It's like their second unofficial spokesperson. No one could possibly know how much money KC has given to H&M.

And who cares?

They still enjoy massive unearned wealth. Let them use that wealth to fund their lifestyle.

Well exactly, they've got enough money, they can pay for themselves.

They’ve been married for 20 years

He paid for her security and trust funds for her dc before the marriage.

Point being that he could not do the same for his son and grandson. Why not?

Thank you, everyone. It hasn't been easy.

Luckily I have my therapist on speed dial...

That's handy. Though it's odd that you refused to give your partner your therapists number when they were allegedly having a mental health crisis?

Most definitely it was suits that paid for security while still dating. They even had footage of the time and explained how they had to arrange everything and how it affected the rest of the cast and crew.

Never heard of MM having any security or dedicated hotlines in the UK.

jeffgoldblum · 20/05/2023 17:39

Hang on , was this in Canada?

Except they did not have massive wealth at the time of refusal. Tyler Perry had to step in.

Don't know what's so hard to comprehend.

Are you seriously suggesting Harry had no wealth of his own?

Are you not ignoring me again?

The freedom finders chose to run off to the other side of the world where they had no job, no status and no home. Since they no longer had any official role, they obviously couldn't expect taxpayers of any nation to subsidise them. That would be ridiculous. If they failed to think through the consequences of their decisions and work out whether or not they could afford their chosen lifestyle, that's not Charles' responsibility.

As I said above, in the real world inhabited by grown ups, choices have consequences.

That was my family's fault. I even went to HR, but they wouldn't help 😡

Maireas · 20/05/2023 17:48

It's hard to comprehend why Tyler Perry stepped in to help a multimillionaire couple, yes.

Serenster · 20/05/2023 17:48

Except they did not have massive wealth at the time of refusal. Tyler Perry had to step in.

Harry has himself said that’s because he chose not to spend his own money.

Maireas · 20/05/2023 17:49

How do you know that Charles hasn't set up trust funds for Archie and Lilibet?

mixedrecycling · 20/05/2023 17:50

Yes, according to Harry he can't spend his own money because he wants to pass it on to Archie and Lily.

I am thinking of going to the media because my parents' won't fund my lifestyle, and I want to keep what I have to pass on the DD.

Maireas · 20/05/2023 17:52

@mixedrecycling - you've been so brave. Managing on just your mother's £30m legacy, the late Queen Mother's and Prince Philip's bequests and £m subsidies from your father. Yet it's nurses and teachers who go on strike!

Yes. Apparently it's a basic human right to have your family subsidise your wish to go and live in a country on the other side of the world, where you have no job or home and know barely anyone.

Serenster · 20/05/2023 17:53

She didn’t need it, initially. When she and Harry were dating, and she was living in Toronto, obviously whenever she came to the UK she was spending her days and nights with Harry for most of the time, and so his security detail covered her.

When she moved permanently to the UK Edward Lane Fox, Harry’s Private Secretary, put in a huge effort to get RAVEC to agree to her having her own security detail, which was unprecedented.

Maireas · 20/05/2023 17:54

...plus you've made $m from slagging them off...

That was in reply to Iced Purples comment

Effieswig · 20/05/2023 17:56

Let’s remember that Harry said his father cut him off in the first quarter of 2020. Then clarified to the first quarter of the financial year. Which ends in June.

Charles was said to have given H&M a ‘substantial’ amount, even though they had left.

It’s far more likely they went to Tyler perrys because they wanted to leave Canada incase the borders closed due to covid and they didn’t have enough time to organise their own property

jeffgoldblum · 20/05/2023 17:57

Can we clarify, this security provided by suits , was this in Canada?

In your defense it makes perfect sense to contact an administrative department like HR for help with your partner's mental health crisis. Rather than, you know, contacting your own speed dial therapist, or any of their colleagues or any of the thousands of mental health professionals working in the Greater London area.

mixedrecycling · 20/05/2023 18:08

I know, right? That's why my family are so unreasonable. How could I be expected to know how to handle that when I was only in my mid-30s?
