Britian is the only European country with a monarchy that still has a coronation. Other countries have either abandoned the coronation or have never had one.

I watched a pre coronation interview with Princess Anne and to be honest she came across as boring. She may be known as the hardest working of all the Royals but she is boring and old fashioned. Despite that she has managed to bag two husbands

Yes I have to agree with pp, it came across tacky, vulgar and embarrassing. Something out of a Monty Python sketch. Even Charles seemed embarrassed! I think we'll all be doing them a favour tbh.

I just found out that the archbishop and his fellow clergy did not have suitable robes for the coronation .

They asked to borrow 10 matching robes from the Catholic Church

How strange . All this talk of tradition and ritual and religion - yet the archbishop was left to ask around for something suitable ?

Werent there some ancient robes carefully maintained - just as they maintain robes for the monarchs?
