Does anyone else think Catherine looks unhappy these days? Her smile seems forced and she looks like she has lost her sparkle.

Her fans use that term. You are being ridiculous and need to grow up yourself before face checking.

FACT checking not face checking

upinaballoon · 09/05/2023 16:57

No, I don't think she looks unhappy these days. I have seen some pictures of what the whole family were doing yesterday - she and William and three children, and it looks as if they were all enjoying themselves. The duties were over. No-one fainted or dropped something. Everyone could relax.

I would feel stressed if I had to control my child while 100 million people were watching world wide! Look at the (unjustified!) backlash she had after the concert incident with the band and mouth!!

I missed this. What happened?

OhComeOn123 · 09/05/2023 18:16

I think she looks happy in general but I imagine her role is far more exhausting and demanding than she's given credit for and she looked bored / tired at the concert.

Euphemi · 09/05/2023 18:38

She looks fantastic.

I don't envy her job and hope she has nerves of steel. Both C&W seem like ace parents judging by their dc and I have a lot of respect for both of them.

I do wish the royal family could have made it work with Meghan but I guess that wasn't possible due to her uncompromising nature, Harry's deep seated jealousy of William and the rigid old fashioned hierarchical system that is the royal family. They are all worse off for it and I personally hope that Harry will see the light and seek to repair his relationship with his family. It's tragic TBH.

Mumsnet delights in a pile on.

Well, your opening post did attempt to spark a pile on to the PoW.

Not going your way?

What was the concert incident?

OP - what do you look like 'these days', if I were watching you in the corner of your office, or while you're wandering round the shops, or looking through the window of your living room, what do you look like? Confused, stressed, hysterical, bored, tired, grinning, relaxed etc?

What if I managed to catpture a photo of you right when you were squinting at looking at something which made you look cross, or gawping at something which made you look dim.

God knows what someone would make of me, I permanently look annoyed, on the verge of tears, bored and like I couldnt give a toss all in one go. Its quite a remarkable look.

Louis was being a little monkey and (daily mail) media went in for Kate .

Mrsjayy · 09/05/2023 18:57

I mean Louis was being a toddler that's all

XBealtaine · 09/05/2023 19:00

I think she seems ok, it's a definite skill to be so 'switched on'' 24/7 but they got a lift to the coronation, they got a lift home, they got a lift to the concert, they got a lift home from the concert! I'm 90% joking here but most of my worries are ''will i get there in time?''. Will I get warm. Did I bring the right jacket.

Anyway, I have two children with birthdays close together, and I'm glad I didn't have to make sure that they felt their birthdays were marked properly despite the coronation. Even though they get a lot of help, I'd say this last month was constant post it notes in the air.

" would imagine she was absolutely knackered - not only physically but the stress of remembering everything for herself and controlling her DC (OK Louis! )"
Yep-must be so hard to do all that with no staff at all!

They have very few staff, they moved to a 4 bed so they couldn't have live in staff. Yes, they have more help than the majority of families but i am sure Catherine is still allowed to be knackered this week.

PollyThePixie · 09/05/2023 19:12

She’s absolutely blooming and obviously very happy.

eddiemairswife · 09/05/2023 19:17

would the children's nanny(s) have been lurking nearby?

I didn't think we said "little money" anymore. I don't believe it's pc.

I wonder why Scoby or whatever his name is, the slightly odd looking Sussex spokes person, briefed the media that the Wales kids are to blame for the delay at the coronation. What would team Sussex gain from this? Or are all the knives out now? I suppose Meghan must be spitting feathers seeing the PoW doing so well and en route to becoming Queen herself, will they now spill more damaging secrets?

Samcro · 09/05/2023 19:27

A thread about Kate, eher pretty much everyone has been nice about her and then comes the Meghan bash.
she wasn’t there ffs

No she wasn’t.

But Scobie has commented and involved Meghan by default as he’s her/their spokesman people will read his comments if they are interested.

CurlewKate · 09/05/2023 19:36

"would the children's nanny(s) have been lurking nearby?"
Of course they would. You didn't think Louis wandered off by himself in the Abbey, did you?

Euphemi · 09/05/2023 19:38

It's so hypocritical, isn't it. Harry being pissed off with the evil press yet the Sussexes have made several comments about the Wales children to the press. It's sad.

LlynTegid · 09/05/2023 19:40

Apart from at the concert (I would have been bored by some of the acts) looks happy enough to me.

WizardinTraining · 09/05/2023 19:50

I think she looked a bit stressed but who wouldn’t but much more relaxed in the photos from yesterday.

what have the Sussexes/their mouthpiece said?

She looked stressed and tired to me on the day of the Coronation, and as if a weight had been lifted afterwards.

Probably the stress of Harry's visit and what nonsense he might pull.

He said that the Wales' were late on Coronation Day because of the 3 children. (Harpers Bazaar iirc)
