M&H Missing From Coronation Portraits

Ok I’ll preface this by admitting I’m not the biggest fan of Meghan or Harry BUT…

I did find them missing from the coronation group portrait a little sad. Those portraits are historical artefacts that will be referenced in the history books for centuries and I really think if they’d turned up they would’ve been invited to be in them, working royals or not. He’s the son of the king. It’s like they erased themselves from history.

(Andrew… I don’t feel sorry for at all. His mug was not missed 😂)

Same with the group portrait with all the little kiddies and HMQ before she died. That opportunity is not coming back 😭

Does anyone else think that they’re mainly responsible for their own undoing but also feel a bit sorry for them when they see things like this? What a mess to untangle.

Well they weren't there for a start. They can't be superimposed in like the Kardashians.

I spent a decade living in a different country from my family and I'm not in any of the photos of their events either.

Me too though not quite as long as you! I always found it a bit of a gut punch when there was a big family photo and I wasn’t in it, even though I was happy where I was. Plus sadly we are not royalty and our photos are not historical artefacts 😂

He went to Westminster Abbey for the service. The official photos were taken at Buckingham Palace, he went straight to the airport to get home in time for his sons birthday.

Harry was invited back to BP but declined and zoomed off back to USA.

So of course they aren't in the photos - they have made it very clear they don't want a part of it unless its all on their terms.

The photos wouldn't be a representation of what was happening if Harry was in them! He's not a part of what's happening because he's chosen a different life for himself.

They could have chosen to go, then chosen to go to the lunch at BP, and I’m certain Charles would have wanted his son in the photos working royal or not. I think it’s sad that they’re missing as they could have been in it.

More nit picking

I think Charles would’ve wanted them in the photos if they’d been there, working or not. Not on the balcony or any official capacity, but at the end of the day H is his son and I think he’d want him in the photos.

If they had attended the lunch, I'm sure they would have been included in some pictures, but not the working royal picture.

But they don't think it's sad. It's what they want, to live in LA and have the freedom that they wouldn't have living here.

They don't want to be in the Royal Family so it's not sad.

Also, if you marry someone from another country you can end up living away from your family. It's a part of it.

No I can't feel sorry for them. They had a chance to be part of history and threw it away. If anyone wrote a history book about them they'd probably try to sue it. I thought it was more poignant that through their father's actions, there's no real intention to bring Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie further into the fold to ensure a younger set of working royals who can meet all the engagements they need to attend.

They were invited, they chose not to attend. Harry attended the Service and then left. Obviously they weren’t on the balcony for a pic. Their choice. There’s no need to feel sorry for them. I’m sure H&M are not bothered.
