Mawkish, cringe posts on FB again

I remember all this erupting on Facebook with the passing of The Duke of Edinburgh/Captain Tom/The Queen…and predictably posted by the usual suspects on mine 😬
A proliferation of Diana centric ones this time. Some people really need to get over it. Yes, it was incredibly tragic that she died in a horrific car accident, but all of this could have been avoided if Charles and Camilla had been allowed to get married in the first place.
As for the Diana one, don’t get me started on could/should of instead of have! Grrrr…..

It's all got very sinister. What's Aunt Lucy in Peru up to? Trafficking? Organised crime?.

The reality is the press would have really turned on Diana and pushed the public to do the same, everything she did or said would have been manipulated or reported on. Her relationships would have been splattered over front pages and gossiped about by all and sundry. People have sanctified her because of her death.

meanwhile

The press changed from being critical of her lifestyle and relationships to adulation when she died.
