The PR Whodunnit?

So what is this all about then?
Who did it and why?
And whoever's PR team is responsible needs tearing off a strip, it's going to backfire.
I know there was a thread about this earlier today but it was deleted due to questions over how genuine the OP was. As this story is everywhere at the moment I thought I would have a try myself and see how we go. Just a couple of preemptive points:

  1. My MN credentials are rock solid so don't anyone even go there😁
  2. Lets also keep some perspective, at the end of the day we are talking about a bunch of privileged and entitled millionaires who likely wouldn't even pee on us if we were on fire and that goes for both 'sides'.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

Meghan wrote to King Charles expressing concern about unconscious bias in the Royal Family - report

The letter was reportedly sent after the duchess said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a senior royal had speculated about how dark her unborn son's skin would be.

Has to be Team Meghan, has to be

Not with the way she has written her response. That woman is done!

Has to be? That's quite the desperation to believe you are displaying there.

Perhaps if you say it enough times, it may come true.

It has to be, it has to be, it has to be.

Also try saying in caps: IT HAS TO BE, IT HAS TO BE, IT HAS TO BE😆

Meanwhile, in the real world ....

The PR Whodunnit?

Not with the way she has written her response. That woman is done!

I found the response a bit lame, it read like something written by a slightly precocious undergraduate thinking themselves very clever 😁

tigger2022 · 23/04/2023 10:58

@MrsMaxDeWinter it was Meghan

Serenster · 23/04/2023 10:58

The Sussexes’ statement about the article says “Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous

That sounds somewhat familiar. Where we have we heard similar words before?

Oh yes, Meghan described the allegations that she had in any way assisted Scobie with Finding Freedom as “false, fantastical and a conspiracy theory”, too. She had to apologise to the court about that, don’t forget.

It was so hypocritical!

StormzyinaTCup · 23/04/2023 11:00

I think the Royal Family are good for a few more years yet😉

So you keep saying

Others think differently

poppysockies · 23/04/2023 11:02

Charles was always going to be an intermediary king, it’s no wonder people aren’t that excited.

but Kate and William are riding high in the popularity stakes & there’s a huge amount of goodwill for them and their family as the response to the Louis birthday photos shows.

by the way I don’t think Louis will end up like Harry, I think he will get the benefits of being a royal while following his own path, he has such a strong loving family around him and looks to have a cheerful temperament

Of course they are good for some years to come. Many years in fact.

There just doesn't seem to be interest in THIS coronation.

I suspect the one in 2043 will garner more excitement, and the one 40 or so years after that.

Try as they may, they can't make fetch happen with Camilla, and Charles suffers in consequence.

Even the Daily Mail, bastion of Middle England, found last week that only 14% of its readers support the idea of Camilla being called Queen.

polkadotdalmation · 23/04/2023 11:05

@MrsMaxDeWinter Why do you continue to quote me? I've been busy at work and haven't posted 3 days.

You do know I don't engage with you so stop with the harassment.

polkadotdalmation · 23/04/2023 11:06

I just hope this bloody weather cheers up for the coronation. All the thousands of people lining the streets deserve some sun!

"I got a last minute call from Kensington Palace" (her words). New best friends and selfies together.

Alison Hammond said quite clearly to Kate on the video in Birmingham: “Lovely to see you again” when they met so they clearly already knew each other, so not quite the story you are pushing, but don’t let that get in the way of it (I know you won’t). 😀

Clearly they already knew each other

That is a bit of a stretch. It just means that Alison has seen Kate at an event before / recently, maybe more since Alison is now a household name. I don't think it's any evidence that they know each other and she may only interact with Alison for the cameras.

@PreparationPreparationPrep

Dalmation’s name changes are quite transparent, I fail to see any issue.

Can we keep the thread on track, pretty please? 🙏😊

It’s really odd - it’s like they don’t think people can see what they’re doing. Anyway…

Always amused when the royalists elevate K&W popularity as if it compensates for C&C . Will they be doing this for the next 20 years.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 23/04/2023 11:18

@skullbabe It's certainly more transparent than Royal communications.

@StormzyinaTCup sorry to derail your thread, I will stop the Tag Team Contest, I promise.

DuchessOfPort · 23/04/2023 11:20

I’m interested in the Coronation insomuch as I’ll definitely watch it. I love the way we do pageantry and I think the Household Division are brilliant at what they do in terms of the ceremonial stuff and it’ll be lovely to see all that without a death backing it up.

oh and clothes. I’m very shallow in what I want from this. Day off, gold coach, bling and for once we get this with no poring over strained grief stricken family.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 23/04/2023 11:24

I’m very shallow

You are not shallow at all @DuchessOfPort. The bling is what the RF should be about. The fun and frocks, not the backhanded sniping and spite.

Bring on the bling.

Maireas · 23/04/2023 11:27

I always find it a bit strange when posters think that these arguments are "royalists" v "republican". Meghan and Harry have made it very clear that they support the monarchy, enjoy the titles and very much wanted Archie and Lilibet to be Prince and Princess. Their right, their choice. They're not on some sort of righteous republican crusade. It's very much about other issues.
