The PR Whodunnit?

So what is this all about then?
Who did it and why?
And whoever's PR team is responsible needs tearing off a strip, it's going to backfire.
I know there was a thread about this earlier today but it was deleted due to questions over how genuine the OP was. As this story is everywhere at the moment I thought I would have a try myself and see how we go. Just a couple of preemptive points:

  1. My MN credentials are rock solid so don't anyone even go there😁
  2. Lets also keep some perspective, at the end of the day we are talking about a bunch of privileged and entitled millionaires who likely wouldn't even pee on us if we were on fire and that goes for both 'sides'.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

Meghan wrote to King Charles expressing concern about unconscious bias in the Royal Family - report

The letter was reportedly sent after the duchess said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a senior royal had speculated about how dark her unborn son's skin would be.

Oh dear Harry must have some serious halitosis
that lakers video was toe curling him trying to lean in for the kiss cam moment
she wasn’t having it
Second hand embarrassment!

He is surely repulsive to most women, you cannot blame her for that.

poppysockies · 25/04/2023 09:45

Eugenie certainly has quite the talent for running with the foxes & chasing with the hounds! 😁

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 09:46

Maybe stormzy wants her question to actually be answered?

Who said Meghan owed him friendship, sex or anything else?
I would say she owed him and others the courtesy of not discarding them when she's used them for what she wants. Like her husband, friends, father.... could go on but I'd be here forever as the list is so long.

so you want an echo chamber? not how the RF topic works.

Seriously? It was tongue in cheek, I also added a laughing emoji just to emphasise this. Nevermind.

Mumsnet skills at their finest.

Diagnosing halitosis across an entire continent.

my apologies. just so used to pro / fence posters being shut down.

I wonder was it a last minute trip, usually all the celebrities get the best tickets ringside, but they were up in a box.

I saw on Twitter (don't know if it's accurate) that they had taken Archwell employees to the game, so a box is probably better.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 25/04/2023 10:00

You are allowed to end a marriage if it is not working for you. Consent to marry has to be mutual. A divorce can be a unilateral choice made by any party for any reason.

You are allowed to go no contact with your father if he blackmails you on TV, and if he spends time talking to people spreading conspiracy theories about the non-existence of your children.

You are allowed to go no contact with a former best friend if she takes your ex-husband's side after a divorce, then sells your story and pictures to the Daily Mail.

You are allowed to go no contact with a half sister whose first interview is to tell the world that your fiancé should not to marry you, then stalks you to your new home and makes a spectacle outside your gates, then does more slamming interviews, then brings a frivolous law suit against you,

You are allowed to go no contact with your brother if he writes to your fiancé to say he should not marry you, then sets up a You Tube channel in which he has dolls pretending to be you and your husband simulating sex.

You are allowed to go no contact with Piers Morgan if you dig into his background and learn that he has, as stated above, no moral compass.

The thing I admire most about Meghan?

She has iron clad boundaries.

She would not let the future king of England wag his finger in her face.

And you think she should have tolerated Piers.😛

I wonder if the friends and family she has discarded along the way would agree with those descriptions 🤔. I'm sure Harry won't be on that list for a long time. He's far too valuable to her. Even she will tolerate a foot in mouth, dimwit like him, if it buys her fame.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 25/04/2023 10:10

Harry is indeed someone she values highly as her husband and the father of her children.

Glad to see we agree on his value to her.

And yes, it is lovely to see that even those non-academic people who as children were called thick (like Harrys own mother) and who grow up to be called 'dimwits', can still find worth in their lives, and also love and be loved.

I wish the same for all children whatever their levels of academic achievement.

I agree.
Bullies also have impressive boundaries which they learn to use exploitatively.

Her friend Kim Kardashian was also at the Lakers game sporting her facial alterations 🤔

I didn’t know they were friends - interesting.

skullbabe · 25/04/2023 10:13

I didn’t know they were friends - interesting.

Much like her predicted divorce (see above) it's one of the fan fiction Mumsnet stories.

While Meghan is out there living her life, people like to spend time on forums inventing all sorts of imagined scenarios about her😅.

skullbabe · 25/04/2023 10:17

poppysockies · 25/04/2023 08:04

Interesting that certain posters who had so much to say about darstadly Camilla’s links with Piers Morgan are strangely silent about the York sisters fraternising with him so publicly!

I think anyone who would socialise with someone like Piers Morgan is reprehensible.

diflasu · 25/04/2023 10:19

She would not let the future king of England wag his finger in her face.

Unless you are a Jacobite he's Scotland King as well - though I think current Jacobian heirs married into Liechtenstein family and are actually richer than the Windsors.

Also TBH I think Charles has tried to be welcoming - he seemed vey proud to walk her down aisle- but I think hes known to be mean with money so I don't think she was singled out there.

Sudeko · 25/04/2023 10:25

Or so says the main propagator on fan fiction via marathon-winning eulogies 😀

I thought the best seats at a basketball were the courtside ones ?

Usually that’s where you see the other celebrities like the Kardasians, Beyoncé, J-lo etc .

They had the Archewell team out with them in the suite - probs a work jolly.

@poppysockies Yep, stunning double standards.

8roses · 25/04/2023 10:39

Meanwhile Prince William was laying a dawn wreath for Anzac Day and Catherine highlighting a service for struggling families with young babies - horses for courses

poppysockies · 25/04/2023 10:39

*The thing I admire most about Meghan?

Well! You must really respect William & Kate then! Unlike Charles, they’ve drawn a clear line in the sand after Harry’s abhorrent behaviour.

it’s certainly a good idea to go no contact with a relative who sells you out for cash. Good for them. I wonder if the Sussexes will keep their titles once William is in charge?

8roses · 25/04/2023 10:42

@MrsMaxDeWinter you’ve missed off a few others they’ve gone. On contact with. If I had to go non contact with so many people I would be wondering if I myself may be the problem - Jessica, the royal family, the British press, social media - still there’s always the telegraph (or maybe not!)

I don’t think there is anything wrong with work colleagues socialising outside of work or with people having downtime and enjoying recreational activities.
