The PR Whodunnit?

StormzyinaTCup · 22/04/2023 19:50

So what is this all about then?
Who did it and why?
And whoever's PR team is responsible needs tearing off a strip, it's going to backfire.
I know there was a thread about this earlier today but it was deleted due to questions over how genuine the OP was. As this story is everywhere at the moment I thought I would have a try myself and see how we go. Just a couple of preemptive points:

  1. My MN credentials are rock solid so don't anyone even go there😁
  2. Lets also keep some perspective, at the end of the day we are talking about a bunch of privileged and entitled millionaires who likely wouldn't even pee on us if we were on fire and that goes for both 'sides'.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

Meghan wrote to King Charles expressing concern about unconscious bias in the Royal Family - report

The letter was reportedly sent after the duchess said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that a senior royal had speculated about how dark her unborn son's skin would be.

I wonder if the Sussexes will keep their titles once William is in charge?

https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3289

This is the bill you should keep and Roy on and petition your MP to support if you’re so inclined - but under Surrey law William will not be able to remove their titles.

skullbabe · 25/04/2023 10:54

*an eye (not Roy 🤣)

Ah, where there’s a Will - there’s a way! 😁

I bet the Yorkies are trying to make deals with Piss to lay off their scummy father. If Eugenie is so cuddly with Meghan's abuser she is more two faced than I thought.

Never trust the royals, they are sneaky AF. At least Harry puts his opinions out there, in broad daylight, come what may, and takes the flak on the chin. The RF make dirty deals with the media devils, leak against "much loved" family members, and idiots people think "Oh how dignified they are, they never complain, never explain" while they sell each other down the river.

(BTW The 'never explain' part is the kicker; the 'never complain' part is the sweetener, and people have fallen for it for decades.)

You are allowed to end a marriage if it is not working for you. Consent to marry has to be mutual. A divorce can be a unilateral choice made by any party for any reason.

You are allowed to go no contact with your father if he blackmails you on TV, and if he spends time talking to people spreading conspiracy theories about the non-existence of your children.

You are allowed to go no contact with a former best friend if she takes your ex-husband's side after a divorce, then sells your story and pictures to the Daily Mail.

You are allowed to go no contact with a half sister whose first interview is to tell the world that your fiancé should not to marry you, then stalks you to your new home and makes a spectacle outside your gates, then does more slamming interviews, then brings a frivolous law suit against you,

You are allowed to go no contact with your brother if he writes to your fiancé to say he should not marry you, then sets up a You Tube channel in which he has dolls pretending to be you and your husband simulating sex.

You are allowed to go no contact with Piers Morgan if you dig into his background and learn that he has, as stated above, no moral compass.

The thing I admire most about Meghan?

She has iron clad boundaries.

She would not let the future king of England wag his finger in her face.

And you think she should have tolerated Piers.😛

Absolutely this.

Maybe stormzy wants her question to actually be answered?

Who said Meghan owed him friendship, sex or anything else?
I would say she owed him and others the courtesy of not discarding them when she's used them for what she wants. Like her husband, friends, father.... could go on but I'd be here forever as the list is so long.

What a twisted way of thinking.

So she doesn't owe people friendship, sex or anything else, but to not do so means she has "discarded" them. She has to put up with toxic arseholes like her father, Piers and two-faced friends? For what reason? Just because it's Meghan? Would you?

Anybody else would be advised (esp on Mn) to cut harmful people out of their lives, even applauded for it. But not Meghan oh no, she has to put up with it because to not do so is somehow "proof" of her character. 🙄

Thank you. I agree.

Meghan has to keep in touch and be nice to people who insult and vilify her. Well.... because it's Meghan.

She owes Piers Shock a nasty man who is completely obsessed with her in a stalker way, and has been since he never got a wedding invite. He even begged for one in a tweet FFS!

mixedrecycling · 25/04/2023 11:49

Certainly H&M have every right to cut/minimise contact with people who are damaging their mental health. Equally, other members have every right to cut/minimise their contact with H&M for the same reason.

Well of course. The rule goes for everyone. But you can't have one rule for everyone and another rule for just Meghan, as other PPs imply. It is ridiculous and completely negates that point of view.

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 12:57

It's a pity Charles is too honourable a father to cut Harry and Meghan out of his life. It seems it's only Meghan who is allowed to weed out 'friends' once she stepped on them up to the next step.

Says a lot for Charles that he can forgive disloyalty, lies and appalling treatment from the Montishitshow couple.

LadyMuckingabout · 25/04/2023 13:39

As others have said, that’s an awful lot of people she has gone nc with. Some I understand, particularly Piers Morgan. She thought he was useful, but he seemed overly taken with her. But others… eg she obviously nurses a grudge against Kate, what with the shopping trip and the lip gloss being brought up. I don’t think you cross Meghan lightly.

How do you know he's forgiven him? I don't see that anywhere.

Charles is not honourable. He's a petty and spoilt, immature little man who's jealous of anyone taking the limelight away from him, even his own children. An honourable father/king would be proud of his kids, and bask in their success and popularity, but no he gets jealous.

He threw Harry under the bus with the "drugs shame" scandal - what kind of father does that to their own teenage son, just to make HIMSELF look better? Seriously, is that a good, honourable father to you? No wonder Harry has issues!!

He treated Diana disgustingly, with that awful woman, who Harry quite rightly despises. He took security away from his son, daughter in law, and baby grandson when they went to Canada. At one point he didn't even know where they were, when they suddenly had to leave Can to go to California. With no security and facing death threats.

Lovely, honourable father he is.

Don’t forget the comment in Spare about how cold and formal Kate is. And when she told The Cut that she’s too good an other to have her children go to school int he UK. And the time a “friend of Meghan”

Serenster · 25/04/2023 14:02

Oh, my post got utterly mangled after I pressed “Post” there..?

I was responding to LadyMuckingabout and citing other very pointed comments Meghan had made criticising Kate’s coldness, her uprightness, and her parenting. There definitely seems to be a constant theme there.

Roussette · 25/04/2023 14:02

I don’t think you cross Meghan lightly

I would say the same about Kate also. And she has the backing of the royal PR machine behind her.

Rockybooboo · 25/04/2023 14:15

Charles is not an honourable person. He moaned about his parents in a book, treated his first wife awfully. He's protected sex offenders.

Serenster · 25/04/2023 14:20

Has Kate rung up national broadcasters asking for people to be sacked then? Must have issued that….

wordler · 25/04/2023 14:20

@Serenster lol you’re having a time with your autocorrect today!

michaelmacrae · 25/04/2023 14:21

Oh I forgot: the cash for honours allegations.... Allowing Andrew into the coronation... Bullying staff over a pen.... friends with Savile.... there's more too, but I can't remember them all right now

Serenster · 25/04/2023 14:24

I give up! 🤣

But you forgot, he put out an olive branch by putting a picture of Meghan in the coronation brochure !!😃

Of course he wants Harry at the coronation.

Nothing to do with forgiveness - the press reported Frogmore as a vindictive tit for tat for Spare from Charles, and that was not contradicted by the Palace. He wants Harry there because imagine the embarrassment of only one of his two children in attendance while Camilla' kids, Camilla's grandkids, Camilla's best friend and Camilla'e ex husband show up for her.

michaelmacrae · 25/04/2023 14:56

@MrsMaxDeWinter exactly, it's all appearances with him.

polkadotdalmation · 25/04/2023 15:19

@michaelmacrae. how do you know he hasn't forgiven Harry? To allow him to come to the coronation, to write conciliatory letters to a treacherous daughter in law who just lied about his whole family and country on worldwide TV, to not respond and keep his dignity after years of abuse at his son and DILs hand.. all I can say is he's far more forgiving and dignified than most people would be.

William, kate Charles and especially Camilla have been attacked and lied about for years. Harry and Meghan are disgusting individuals, and luckily most of the world have woken up to their pitiful attempts to be relevant. And all for money and fame. Well I personally hope they keep the money and the fame and just piss off to monteshitshow and leave us all in peace.
