The royal family

I don’t think anyone disagrees with him, the point is he denies he said he wanted privacy and he sold intimate details of his life, as well as that of his family . They also have a right to privacy and he didn’t just breach it. He sold it. To the highest bidder so millions people could salivate over the juicy details .

yet he has multiple quotes, in interviews and his book where he says he wants privacy and a normal life. Then said he didn’t.

colour me stupid but anyone who wants that, no media intrusion, doesn’t sell books on their private life anf do six part documentaries showing images of their own home and private candid shots of their kids.

the pair of them also clearly call the paps whenever they do charitable work.

they are two of the most media hungry people out there. They actively court it. And it is jarring when correlated against the much declared need for privacy.

Exactly . Finding Freedom is also full of intimate details of their lives.

Daisiesandprimroses · 22/04/2023 19:10

i forgot about finding freedom. Yes it was singing the same song, about how they did all this good stuff and the others were jealous of them and briefed against them and gives so much personal detail about their lives .

There are plenty of women who are born into wealth, marry wealthy men and never work a day in their lives, I don’t see why Camilla and Catherine are so vilified for it. Having a job is a necessity (for some) not a virtue… if I had the kind of money they do not a chance I’d be wasting my days working when I could be doing something I actually enjoy with my time.

Plenty of other women don't live off tax payers money so what they do is their business. If you want to be part of the RF then be prepared to be criticised if you want all the perks.

Serenster · 22/04/2023 20:39

Plenty of women in the country do live off taxpayers’ money though - are you suggesting we have the right to judge what they do, too? Personally, I completely disagree with that.

Sudeko · 22/04/2023 20:53

It depends on if you are talking about £100 pw or £10,000 pw I suppose!

That's just it women & men who are living off tax payers money (benefits I assume you mean) are judged very harshly and have to justify frequently why they are not working for the meagre amount they receive.

So I don't see why the rf shouldn't also be scrutinised for their handouts from tax payers

Breaking news: different family members see situation differently

Good on Tom for speaking out in support of his mother. I think he is best placed to understand his own mum, rather that the deluded and paranoid prince Harry, with his plotting and scheming stories.

Samcro · 23/04/2023 11:04

Prince Harry is perfectly entitled to say how Camilla affected his life but he is not entitled to tell the world (without evidence) that she schemed against him and continue the wicked stepmother narrative.

Everyone has the right to say 'I was hurt that my parents marriage ended and another woman took my mothers place', but that's a far cry from 'she schemed .... etc. Probably every child of a divorced couple feels the same, but being an adult and not a child, the 'wicked stepmother' narrative becomes more nuanced with age.

ffs the moderation on this topic is bizarre

Silverrocks · 23/04/2023 12:14

It's very bizarre that someone so against people talking and speculating about their marriage (which he's not unreasonable for) has no qualms doing it to others.

Agreed all over the place.

The thing is that “leak” is nonsense. There is no way it’s true. Whatever reason Meghan isn’t coming it’s not because 2 years ago Charles didn’t reply to her satisfaction to an email on subconscious bias. It’s total bullshit. And it would be to harry and Meghan satisfaction, not just Meghans.

so that was leaked to misdirect.

It was clearly from a source that the telegraph, who got it first, felt reliable.

so There is another reason she’s not coming. One they don’t want folks digging in. So throw us this and throw us off the track.

At rhe same time it was leaked that harry would be starting to spend more time in the uk. From the same “source”.

so why is Meghan not coming, why she’s barely seen in public anymore, why has she stopped being super glued to Harry’s side. Why have they started acting like totally separate entities.

i can think of one reason only someone would wish to misdirect and not have the public wondering and questioning her absence and not question if harry does spend more time in the uk…and why they now act as totally separate Entities.

they have separated and aren’t announcing it yet. Maybe working on it. But I think there is a high chance the stress of all this and they have separated

Samcro · 23/04/2023 17:48

I really hope your wrong as that would be sad.

Livingwitheyesclosed · 23/04/2023 17:56

I think Meghan is just keeping a low profile. Doesn’t mean they have separated.

polkadotdalmation · 23/04/2023 18:24

I think Harry has now been 'woken' enough that he doesn't need Meghan constantly by his side guiding him around like a puppy. Harry is arrogant enough and entitled enough to feel he can promote his book and his views and is involved in money making deals (like Better Up) of his own volition. I've no doubt the couple's PR and management company, archwell have brokered these deals, so they're both complicit in earning their own money. Harry doesn't need Meghan there all the time and she doesn't need him there all the time. They are like most married couples after the honeymoon period, able to act together, without having to be physically together.

As a couple they need each other to survive, so it's pointless to speculate on someone else's marriage.

polkadotdalmation · 23/04/2023 18:45

Oh, that's a nice picture. It's the one they invited their photographer and news events people to take pictures of them, Backlit? Similar sounding company, they take all their PR stunts. All their photo ops are via Backlit. You always see the accreditation at the bottom. Just as well they have a tame paparazzi company they can call, as the real paps are not very interested.

Roussette · 23/04/2023 18:51

It's the only picture of them this year, I think, and they look happy.

'Real paps not interested'?

Haha, you are funny! That's why last week the Daily Express wrote FORTY FOUR articles about them in a 24 hour period. (I can link a snapshot of all the headlines if you don't believe me) The media would give anything for a picture of them.

It's great they released one picture on their terms. Good on them.

The only people in america 'papping' them are there own paid media team. They are called Backlit. What's written here by the demented british media, is not the same.
Check out there photos, all Backlit. Bottom left hand corner is where there credit is

So what? They released one photo. Good on them!

They chose how and when they wanted to. Just the way it should be.
