He's hardly a disinterested observer - it's his Mum - but actually I don't disagree being Queen at her age means lot of opening shit and dealing with and trailing after an often grumpy husband so yes I think it was love and despite his position not because of it.

I may be wrong but I also read the article and came away with the impression while he love his Mum and seems to have respect for the King and his family are involved in the coronation he isn't actually 100% sold on the monarchy.
