Kate 'resents' not having final moment to say goodbye to Queen

Kate, 41, remained in Windsor to look after her children while the immediate family headed to be at the late monarch's bedside - says Robert Jobson in new book, Our King.

Just to confirm, nobody believes the drivel about Kate feeling offended even though the thread originally began along those lines.

However, people must be soft if they can come up with a single credible explanation for why any of the royal family (excluding Harry) would want Meghan anywhere near their deathbed. They probably all have that clause added into their death wishes document.

So she's never allowed to be able to support her husband should there be a time for that.

As if she's named in death wish documents, that's quite funny!

Sudeko · 18/04/2023 18:20

I wonder what might have happened to a 40yo. who believes that he fought in international wars without all that leg rubbing and body clinging? He got through it just fine, same as William (who never complained) but there always has to be a big sob story around his treatment.

Yes @Roussette its all a bit overdramatic! The whole family having death wish clauses about Meghan! That would be mad.

tatalan · 18/04/2023 18:28

I wonder what we'll hear from Kate next - walking with Meghan being the hardest thing, Banishing Meghan to the back of the church, now she's resentful 😂

all that leg rubbing and body clinging?

What the hell does this even mean? Like seriously now. If the implication is therapy or trauma counselling in somehow over the top for veterans, or anyone, then that is pretty uncool. The days of bottling up our emotions are over. It’s very damaging to do that.

orangedalmatian · 18/04/2023 18:42

Why don't the newspapers stfu about Meghan now? Thankfully we've not heard much from her for months and won't until she releases photos of Archie's birthday party a few days after the coronation. Harry will arrive, sit quietly then bugger off back to Archie's party. Great. We really don't need any more stories!

Unfortunately some other poor person will have to take the spotlight off the couple, or a national or international disaster, which won't be nice, but at least give us (and them) some peace.

Harry and Meghan's behaviour around the death of the Queen actually makes me shudder. I've been at the death beds of DM and DF. Cousins tried to muscle in on one of them. It made everything much harder.

Sudeko · 18/04/2023 19:37

"Let's collaborate!"
"Keep her away"

tatalan · 18/04/2023 19:46

@derxa what was the behaviour?

derxa · 18/04/2023 19:54

tatalan · 18/04/2023 19:46

@derxa what was the behaviour?

Refusing to leave the hospital bed for a while before I put my foot down. I scarcely had the emotional energy to do that but I had to protect my poor dad. Some of you should read about the Circles of Grief theory. The people closest to the dying or deceased person take precedence over everyone else. If Anne, Charles, Andrew and Edward had said 'No one else at the death bed', then that would have been fine in my book.

tatalan · 18/04/2023 19:59

@derxa so help me understand, Meghan wanted to accompany Harry to Scotland, she wasn't permitted. You've failed to tell me what the awful behaviour was.

I knew you would do this. They didn't want Meghan or possibly even Kate at Balmoral. Harry tried to overrule this and I find that shocking. In retrospect I should never have posted about my personal experience

LadyMuckingabout · 18/04/2023 20:09

Don’t you think, @tatalan , that “Meghan wanted to accompany Harry to Balmoral” was spectacularly insensitive behaviour? Another poster has said several times that it would have been quite acceptable, but I can’t believe every supporter thinks this would have been a, well, kind thing to do under the particular circumstances.

tatalan · 18/04/2023 20:11

@derxa please where did you get that he tried to overrule?

tatalan · 18/04/2023 20:11

@LadyMuckingabout what's insensitive about Meghan wanting to support Harry in going to see his dying Grandma?

Brightredtulips · 18/04/2023 20:13

Kate's children had just started their new school.

derxa · 18/04/2023 20:20

tatalan · 18/04/2023 20:11

Have you lost a parent or very close relative?

Whaeanui · 18/04/2023 20:23

Harry tried to overrule this and I find that shocking.

No he didn’t. He simply didn’t like the way his father spoke about his wife. Not wanting partners there was fine according to him. Nobody here can say he tried to overrule because you don’t know what went on. You weren’t there. You’re reacting to tabloid gossip.

Have you lost a parent or very close relative?

I have. My culture is clearly different as the whole family was welcome and that included spouses, mostly for support.

tatalan · 18/04/2023 20:23

@derxa you said he tried to overrule and all i'm asking how you know that?

@Whaeanui exactly, derxa seems distrustful of this resentful Kate narrative but most likely believes tabloid goss about Harry arguing.

tatalan · 18/04/2023 20:24

@Sudeko deranged obsessive haters too, but that's life.

This is so unnecessary. Always with the personal attacks when you get any differing opinions.

But you did not call out the other poster who made the same personal attack on the same page?
