No surprise he's coming on his own to the coronation.

Is there any need to be so vulgar?

About a man who is ABSOLUTELY VILE about Meghan at every opportunity. If you want to talk about being vulgar, look at what he says. It's revolting

The two cousins are old muckers but based on recent comments, Fergie is wary of Meghan so I bet Eugenie shares some reservations as Fergie is quite perceptive in general.

Whatever Fergie has, Eugene has going on.

I understand that Beatrice and Eugene are lovely women with beautiful manners, I don't mean any harm to them.

Word on TikTok is that they've been arguing a lot between each other and thus the reason for missing the RSVP deadline and the late announcement. If they were both on board from the very beginning that she would stay for Archie's bday with both kids and he flies alone (same arrangement as for Prince Philipp's funeral) then it would have been announced much earlier. A timely announcement would obviously have reduced a lot of speculation compared to leaving it to the last hour. If they wanted to avoid attention then the current timing is obviously a misstep.

Isn't it odd how for all the fuss H&M make about being a joint brand, they have barely been spotted together for almost half a year?!

'Word on tiktok'. Get a fucking grip.

Roussette · 12/04/2023 20:15

purpledalmation · 12/04/2023 19:21

There's nothing wrong with divorce you say, but you put up a post as though something's wrong with you if you do? Odd

I think there are about 12 royal couples, only 3 divorces.

Hahaha, three of the Queen's children divorced

LolaSmiles · 12/04/2023 20:16

I don't blame her for not being there. It's one of her children's birthdays, she's on record several times outlining a long list of issues she has with the royal family on a personal and institutional level.
It makes perfect sense for her to stay with her children and protect them from whatever media frenzy is whipped up.

People can't have it both ways.

MarshaBradyo · 12/04/2023 20:17

fragolino · 12/04/2023 20:02

Marsh's really?
Would you want his childhood for any child?
How can anyone's bar be set so low.

Set so low? He’s not a child now, I’m talking about his life as it is which warranted a ‘very brave’ post.

Is he really that unhappy? LA with wife and children, invited to huge event

I’m sure they’re fine I know he looks grumpy all the time and whinges a lot but yeh there’s a fair amount of people I’ll feel sorry for or call very brave first

I mean brave? I find that odd.

Are you serious?

I find the fuss about a four year old's birthday extraordinary.
My BiL worked in racing. My sister managed to have one baby during the week of Cheltenham races and the other during Ascot. About the two biggest weeks in the racing year when normally she would be present and assisting with company hospitality. For years my niece was told her birthday was the Saturday of the week after Ascot and when she was old enough to understand dates she was simply told "party next week". How is that difficult?

Plus obviously Archie and Lily are too young to attend anyway, though of course if family relationships were good they could be ensconced in a playroom at Buckingham Palace with other young relatives and a nanny, having lots of fun and being part of the extended family at an important time. Archie is old enough that he would remember this forever.

And this coming from a poster who keeps saying Meghan has never been pregnant.

😂😂😂😂😂 she also says Andrew is an honourable man.

Her idea of "honourable" is interesting, what with that £15,000 loan she took from Jeffrey Epstein, extremely perceptive. Lol!

GingerbreadBaking · 12/04/2023 20:26

It's just the feckless attitude of Charles though that he wouldn't consider the child had a birthday that same day.

As I say Harry, Charles and William are all woke hypocrites.

I don't mind a non political Rotay family, seeing as they think they are politicians then maybe we should vote in our head of state, I am fed up of their parrot right think lectures, they don't understand themselves.

wow! I think Fergie is great entertainment and would be fun company - can’t help myself - but I definitely don’t think she’s perceptive! Kind and welcoming and jolly and naive but not perceptive!

Yet named their DD with the pet name of the then head of this institutionally racist family and takes up their Prince and Princess titles at the earliest opportunity.

Yes it's a 4th birthday, it's not the same as a coronation! And I'm sure the palace would have staff to sort childcare too ... it's an excuse, and I'm sure there would be a
Chance to socialise with the family afterwards or surrounding the coronation, for A&L of their parents hadn't fucked up their relationship with the family, so their kids miss out because of their attitude and insane sense of entitlement
H&M are at fault if their children don't mix with their family

4plusthehound · 12/04/2023 20:41

Maireas · 12/04/2023 19:50

They came for the Jubilee and the funeral. I'm going to say that security is not an issue. The children would be very safe with a nanny in the Palace for the duration of the service. They all would be ferried in secure cars to and fro.

Yes - good point.

LolaSmiles · 12/04/2023 20:44

I agree with you and think on many levels H&M's stories have holes in them and that they're hypocritical on a few things.

On this though it's a decision that makes sense based on their own version of events. It makes sense that a parent who wanted to be free from an institution they have gripes with and relatives who have been harmful would choose to keep their distance.

Based on that I think people who stick the knife in for Meghan choosing to stay with her children out of the limelight are likely to be looking for ways to put the boot in.

LindorDoubleChoc · 12/04/2023 20:45

Of course Meghan is not not coming because it's Archie's birthday. Of course it is for another reason.

I find this development interesting and want to discuss it. It is history in the making. Why do we have to tolerate the same posters trying to shut down every conversation about this split in the Royal Family time and time again?

Gosh how feckless a King didn't consider a grandchild's 4th birthday (that was taking place thousands of miles away) over the diaries of Heads of State and politicians from all over the world!

Of course he should have saved the date in case he got an invite to the birthday party and relinquished his kingly duties to attend!

Many parents (who aren't royalty) have DC who's birthdays fall on working days or school days etc so don't organise parties for the actual day, they organise parties for the nearest date their invitees can attend.

ThefourseasonsFrankie · 12/04/2023 21:04

Meghan is an extremely powerful woman in terms of setting and sticking to her boundaries.

There is no conceivable reason why Meghan should show reverence to the British Royal Family. A huge swathe of the British population don’t care for the Royal Family either.

I would have watched the coronation if Meghan was going to be there. Now, I’m definitely not interested. Let’s face it, the current crop are dull and boring. No major star could be bothered.

Why would Meghan inconvenience herself for something that a substantial proportion of the population think is nonsense?

The history in the making is the very visible decline of the Royal family, where the daughter-in-law of the king snubs his invitation as not being worth her bother.

Irrespective of your views on the monarchy you seem to have forgotten they are her husbands family.

@MarshaBradyo no I do not like Meghan any much but what is evident is evident.

She brings glamour and I would have watched it to see other people’s reaction. Did you see how the people in the Church were craning their necks to look at her when she walked down the aisle during the las Commonwealth Service or whatever it was.

Meghan is hugely important and indeed she is history making. Why else would the UK media go wild with anxiety and column inches, panel discussions, books, etc?

Meghan OWNS the U.K and the whole world knows it.

Thh if at us exactly what she said during a US interview “my husband’s family”. That is, they are not her own and she cares little for them save for however much her husband wants to deal with his family.
