Thought she’d shot daggers at Meghan when she got out of the car!

drafting the letter to Thomas to ‘pull on heart strings’ gimme a break

This kind of thing happens a lot. You take one truth and twist it to mean what you want to. She had at this point been subjected to intense scrutiny and her father was publicly threatening her. She says she referred to him as Daddy all her life. She was going over everything in case it was leaked, even how she referred to him all her life, she was aware this could be scrutinised. It wasn’t drafted to pull on heart strings, that wasn’t the actual intention of it. I think it shows how awful the situation is that she can’t even write a letter to her own father without having to go over it with staff and make sure people couldn’t twist it if it was leaked. Which they did anyway. This is the lack of basic privacy they are subjected to. I think analysing a private letter and relationship to this disagree is insanely unfair and people should think about how their texts and letters would be interpreted if they were made public. None of us would come off as perfect, because none of us are.
The Mail lost the case, the letter should never have been published and I think it beyond unfair to keep raising it.

Yes it is. I think if you’re lucky enough to have a good family you probably just will never understand why some have to cut theirs off… despite that being a common story on Mumsnet.

They co-parented for goodness sakes! What's more it worked out very well. Doria was always there for Meghan but for a times it was convenient for her to stay with her father. There's nothing unusual in that when parents divorce, they were quite amicable.

Thomas was a good and loving father, he adored Meghan, unfortunately he was manipulated by the media and then went too far, publishing a private, heartfelt letter from his daughter. I do feel sorry for him (not for his other daughter, S), I hope there is a reconciliation before it's too late, but he was his own worst enemy and he lied to Meghan. I thought everyone knew that.

I can't believe the attacking of Doria on here. Up until now, everyone (whatever you think of M&H) has either praised her, thought she was OK, or had no particular opinion.

But we have now moved into attacking Meghan's mother who has done nothing wrong. This is when I think it is racism on here. Because it is totally and utterly unwarranted.

At least I know and can make a note of who is doing this.

Doria doesn't even get a mention on any threads I've read recently. On this thread one person has mentioned Doria with regards to Meghan living with her father for several years.

I am pleased to see MN deleted a post yesterday from someone being accused of racism. It wasn’t racism they just didn’t agree with the post.
