Archewell: leading the way with compassion...

Archewell states on their website that their purpose is "leading the way with compassion"

I don't see Harry and Meghan role modelling compassion, certainly not towards either Harry's family or Meghan's family. To me this seems incongruous. Why don't they practice what they preach?

i clearly said the other archewell thread. A document that’s fake was posted regarding the foundation. Whatever photo that is or isn’t William is not what @Roussette and I are talking about.

I'm not sure why someone would out themselves by admitting they posted that awful picture, when they were not even named?

What are people talking about. A photo of somebody or a document. I haven't seen either so its a bit puzzling.

Yes @jeffgoldblum that’s right. We are on this thread talking about the other thread this OP just posted on archewell. Not some other photo I don’t know about. The fake document is still on the other thread. I think the OP started another thread because the last one didn’t go as they expected. A lot of completely false things were posted based on Reddit lies. If you weren’t on the other thread, anyone here, then you won’t know what we’re talking about & that’s fine. But the OP and some posters here do.

So? What does it matter? There are millions of made up names for companies, foundations, non profit orgs... billions probably!

Would you criticise Amnesty for being called Amnesty? Or Born Free? Or The Listening Place. Or Access (which my DD is involved in)

Bit silly criticising them for a name that means something to them and they chose, to be honest

I find it bemusing that a discussion of “false information posted on Reddit” on another thread is merrily ongoing on here when a post mentioning “false information posted probably on twitter” on another thread is deleted. Surely both are permissible, or neither?

No idea Serenster. But I highlighted why it was fake so can’t see why the conversation shouldn’t be allowed? I didn’t raise it, people claimed it, posted it without the source and I clarified where it came from and the errors. Sorry I don’t know what comment you made is about.

Sounds dodgy to me. Best way to not have controversy is to be clear about your purpose.

To answer the thread's question, neither Harry and Meghan come across as leaders in compassion or in anything to me anyway, but they do have a public so they must be answering some people's needs to be 'lead'.

I feel compelled to defend @MarshaMelrose , she is a longtime poster who never resorts to insults, and as far as I can tell never posted anything dodgy from those awful sites .
I can only assume she was unaware of the origin of this document and thought it was real.

@jeffgoldblum there’s only two places you can find it and both are unreliable to say the least, I would say extremely hateful though for both. I don’t know why anyone would frequent either. She was quite insistent with me and asked for an apology if presented but after prolifically posting for a long time hasn’t come back to accept what I originally said. I was made out to be naive and a ‘Sussex sugar’ ( new term for me ) from others when I was just stating simple facts about how these things work. But whatever. I know you like defending posters on your side of the discussion which is fair enough but sometimes they get it wrong and should acknowledge that.

Perhaps she's out enjoying the sunshine over the long weekend?

And asking for an apology was a step to far in my book, but it was definitely out of character for her , so can only assume something else was going on?

@jeffgoldblum I did enquire if she was ok as we had just been talking about family illness so hopefully nothing like that.

@RocketsMagnificent7 absolutely could be, although they posted elsewhere afterwards so 🤷🏽‍♀️ like I said other posters there also didn’t acknowledge the main complaint about the foundation was false. Anyway! Never mind. The OP starting another thread is really what I’m querying here.
