Archewell: leading the way with compassion...

Archewell states on their website that their purpose is "leading the way with compassion"

I don't see Harry and Meghan role modelling compassion, certainly not towards either Harry's family or Meghan's family. To me this seems incongruous. Why don't they practice what they preach?

OP posts:
JustAnotherManicNameChange · 07/04/2023 22:03

Her father then went to the press in desperation to say she wasn’t contactable and said he would continue going to the press until her heard from her.

Ermm... that's what blackmail is?

ArcaneWireless · 07/04/2023 22:05

Folk lead their own path. We all have our opinions on them and I’m sure they differ.

But starting another frothy thread isn’t conducive to an interesting debate.

StormzyinaTCup · 07/04/2023 22:07

I believe Harry has done similar himself with his, and I'm paraphrasing, 'I have loads of material I haven't put in my first book because it would be hugely damaging for my family and they would never forgive me. (but let's not forget, I have signed a four book deal so you best think about that apology I want from you).

She doesn't need your permission to start a thread. Don't post if you don't like it

Meghan wasn’t blackmailed by her father. She stopped contact with her father and wouldn’t answer his calls, basically erased him because she was embarrassed about the photos he set up with the press. Who cuts their father out of their life because of something so arbitrary? A father they had praised publicly not long before that. Not someone with an ounce of compassion. Her father then went to the press in desperation to say she wasn’t contactable and said he would continue going to the press until her heard from her. She seems incapable of ever acknowledging her fault in anything, she is always so hard done by and wants everyone else to apologise when her behaviour has been worse than theirs.

Is that your parenting style?

In your opinion this is the right thing to do?

You admire Thomas Markle?

ArcaneWireless · 07/04/2023 22:15

I’m not saying folk have to have permission. I’m saying that I think it isn’t about debate it is about encouraging froth. From both sides.

For what it is worth I have a similar opinion on it all as you.

And regardless to whatever opinion I hold or whether I like it or not, I don’t need permission to post either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

So no evidence of compassion from any of the supporters?

Compassion for .... you? Confused

Why are you asking for compassion, Op? Because you can't stop thinking about Harry and Meghan? It is a very modern affliction, I must say. Perhaps speak to a therapist.

@ArcaneWireless fwiw, I think the only interesting debate happens before the zombies sniff it out!

Whaeanui · 08/04/2023 09:12

If I was a conspiracy theorist I would say they are bots or paid or some such nonsense, however I'm sane so I think they are just crazy obsessives

Who are you talking about?

What a shame you can't cope with different opinions and just want threads that are an echo chamber.

That is the nature of a forum. People discussing, agreeing, disagreeing, putting points forward... some of which you may not like.
Accept it.

What I find interesting about this thread is that it’s the same as the last one the OP just posted, at least by the title, and was started after I exposed on the previous thread that a letter relied upon by a few posters to claim it was a public charity, was a fake. The poster insisting that the foundation was a public charity actually asked me to apologise if the letter was presented. Once I provided evidence of the source of the letter ( Reddit and a bogus and nutty website ) this poster, prolific in the boards every single day for some time, has not come back or commented at all on MN and neither did the poster who shared it. If you rely on nonsense from Reddit and crazy lunatics and their hateful websites, I guess it must be embarrassing when someone discovers it. Why are people determined to paint this as a public charity not a foundation? Because, as the Reddit thread shows, their criticisms rely on claiming Harry & Meghan are using public money to paint themselves as good charitable people. So they’ve created fake documents to try and make these false claims. That’s the lengths some of the people on the board are going to.

Serenster · 08/04/2023 11:25

Whaeanui · 07/04/2023 21:59

Well, if it was on the Netflix series it must be true then!

They showed the texts. This is why. Because the press write lies and people believe them.

Just a reminder that Meghan, Omid Scobie and her lawyer conspired together to lie to the High Court, were discovered, and people still believe them…

Whaeanui · 08/04/2023 11:29

Meghan, Omid Scobie and her lawyer conspired together

Not accurate. Opinion only.

Whaeanui · 08/04/2023 11:29

Let’s just ignore the conspiring lies I mentioned happens on this board huh

I’m honestly laughing at this. Shown quite clearly in the witness statements, which were signed with statements of truth, and then directly contradicted by contemporaneous emails, followed by an apology from one of those involved. That’s literally proof beyond reasonable doubt right there!

(the mental gymnastics some people put themselves through to hold onto their positions never fails to amuse me).

Whaeanui · 08/04/2023 11:34

🙄 have the courage to direct it at me if it’s about me. You say they conspired, I disagree. Meghan still won her case. That must sting I guess.

Sadly, as I know far too well... when you do provide facts, or undisputed truths about something incorrectly posted, like you have done with that ridiculous letter grabbed from Reddit (and only on Reddit, nowhere else) the relevant posters are nowhere to be seen, they just scurry away and don't accept anything. They then I imagine are 'reborn' to start over. (Reborn is my new word for NC, hope you like it)

We all surely remember the awful time 'PR' (I will only call her that because I don't want to drag her into this) had to endure when asking MN for a Black Mumsnetters area on MN. Forged letters, documents, emails, doxxing etc. What does that tell us... some posters will go to the ends of the earth to stop somewhere people of colour feel comfortable posting. But to keep to the point of the thread...and to discredit H&M in any way with a fake document.

Because they are fully paid up hypocrites.
Eco warriors who fly private jets like they're taxis
Preach kindness and compassion while showing none to either side of the family,
Left the royal family to pursue their own charitable ends but so far have only partnered up with existing charities who do all the work.
Declare war on the media but parade themselves on Netflix for hours, write tell all books and go on pay per view TV promoting drug use.

Oh and did I mention liars? ...they took my passport away (but I still managed a £30K baby shower in New York) (I could go on with the lies but it's too boring)

They are selfish liars, they probably now don't even know the truth themselves, evil like that eats itself.

Serenster · 08/04/2023 11:48

it doesn’t sting in the slightest, sorry @Whaeanui Meghan had good grounds to win in her claim for breach of copyright. I think it was a pyrrhic victory however, as she destroyed her own personal integrity in the course of that.

(That’s not being hyperbolic by the way, misleading the court and being criticised for doing so by the judge would be career-ending in several professions).
