Loving the invitation! So colourful and very appropriate for springtime. Great photo too - hope they are getting excited for the big day 😃

Thanks @myrtleWilson, that makes more sense!

Pretty invitation but not sure about their clothing in the photo, are they trying to look ordinary. His suit looks dreadful and she looks to be in crimpoline.

I agree about Charles’ suit. Usually he looks very smart but that suit looks like it’s reached the end of its working life and needs to be relegated for working around Highgrove, not in an official
photograph.

Does anyone know the significance of strawberries on the invite? I don’t live in the UK. Are they the national fruit, or something else associated with royalty?

Really nice invitation

Must be quite nice to have that land on your doorstep (not for mners who hate them obvs)

CurlewKate · 05/04/2023 10:30

The person I feel sorry for is George. He always looks so anxious when he's in public. Poor little boy. And that is an awful photo. Charles usually at least dresses well.

Nono22972 · 05/04/2023 10:41

It does look very cartoon-like

CurlewKate · 05/04/2023 10:41

@Morestrangerthings Stawberry leaves denote rank in heraldry. I think a Duke gets eight. Always ask a Republican!

I like it (the invitation); it's bright, colourful and cheerful.

LlynTegid · 05/04/2023 11:33

Mine hasn't come yet!!

Crumbcatcher · 05/04/2023 11:40

I like the invitation but the photo looks like they were told to find something blue to wear and that's as far as it went.

JaneJeffer · 05/04/2023 11:48

Just be glad they didn't have a sheela na gig to keep him company
Bahahaha

I love the forget-me-nots but one of the shamrocks looks a bit mutant.

Well done Camilla.

oh a Green King?

BillLius · 05/04/2023 12:07

Greene King.

Scampi and an Archers for the Coronation Feast.

idontlikementhols · 05/04/2023 12:27

Love the Green Man and the nature references (bee, robin etc). Regal but with a nod to his passion for the environment.

TheSnowyOwl · 05/04/2023 12:27

It doesn’t look like the sort of invitation I was expecting but I suppose it falls in like with Charles’s modernised approach.

custardbear · 05/04/2023 12:48

I love the invitations - very spring like and beautiful.
Photograph isn't great TBH, the kings dresser could have chosen a suit that looks a bit more stylish and in all honesty it looks crumpled and messy

ErrolTheDragon · 05/04/2023 13:19

It's been reminding me of something, just realised it's reminiscent of the pretty Ainsley 'Wild Tudor' cheeseboard I was given many years ago. Grin

Hbh17 · 05/04/2023 13:28

The invitation is beautiful and so charming.
And I am delighted for Queen Camilla, who deserves to be given her proper, legal title and status.

DewinDwl · 05/04/2023 13:50

I'm not sure about the colour palette on the invitation -also I find the double blue on the photo a bit clashy. Charles always looks smart -he always seems at ease in a suit. I think i'm fed up with all royal women wearing those god awful coat dresses.

don't get me started with the whole queen/ queen consort thing

Why?

The Queen wanted different didn't she? Queen Consort. Not Queen.

mathanxiety · 05/04/2023 14:23

That blue frock of Camilla's looks like a housecoat.

I'm not sure the invitation fits the spirit of the institution. A little more formality would have been better, though it did steer clear of Paddington-level schmaltz.

mathanxiety · 05/04/2023 14:24

YYY to @Feemie's 80s kitsch comment.

tatalan · 05/04/2023 15:18

Looks quite cheap.
