It’s a giant mess! There’s lots of articles which use ‘hacking’ as a catch-all for all the different claims because it’s easier. This particular case has if I’m remembering correctly, 6 claimants but all don’t have identical claims. I’ve seen some legal minds comment that there is enough for this to go to trial at least, but we don’t know for a few weeks. ANL’s main defence is that it’s too late, and unbelievably that the claimants should of suspected them all those years ago even after they said they hadn’t 😂

I note this Jonathan Rees is a different "investigator" to the one who's now made a contradictory statement, but to borrow my old mum's phrase, none of them sound like the sort of people I'd want to meet down a dark lane at night

In one of these he makes an interesting point that ANL asking for the case to be dismissed due to Burrows contradictory statement might, ironically, be an actual point in favour of actually taking it to trial

This article is interesting because it highlights one of the reasons for Meghan Markle's unpopularity: her lack of authenticity. Meghan's behavior from the outset suggested something was off. Then her siblings were telling the media all sorts of nasty things about her, some of which turned out to be true. I think Meghan and her sister Samantha as extremely similar, personality-wise.*

FFS - people are just determined to hate this woman. And compare her to her sister in law. Sick of the media hype around this and the interpretations and hatred this stirs up. The media have a lot to answer for and so do we as consumers of some of the vile crap they peddle.

The issue with name changing is simple - there are some posters who name change to personally attack posters. For those of us who frequent these boards we get to know how some posters “sound” - there’s a turn of phrase here or a particular issue there that crops up when a supposed new poster starts commenting that sounds very familiar.

Rousette has been a regular on these threads for years - often as the sole voice against overwhelming negativity. Meanwhile there are some who will name change and comment ever so innocently acting the disinterested party who was compelled to comment and strangely pick her out as the person to direct their sea lioning to.

As an observer - there very much has been a pile on of personal criticism of Rousette in this thread as opposed to a pile on of criticism of a point of view and these are very different things.

I can’t understand why H&M have named their DD after the head of an institutionally racist family/institution, and want royal titles from that family for both their DC. it’s totally understandable to me that he wanted out, but to be making money out slagging off his family and taking up hereditary royal titles seems hypercritical to me. Plus his kids are going to be able to read all the ongoing shit about the feud in perpetuity as the whole pitiful war of the royals is accessible online.

Or do you simply mean new ones on these threads? As, I haven't posted much previously on this board, but I'm neither a new poster nor a regular name changer. I last nc'd in May last year, prior to that I think I'd had the same name for 3 years or thereabouts.

I also haven't attacked Rousette personally. I challenged a post she made. I've then been accused of saying things i haven't, being a name changer and being desperate and weird.

I'm usually an observer on these threads, and yes there are prolific name changers, I'd wager more on the pro-H&M side. There's some very obvious patterns and styles.

You are happy to step in and support posters you feel you align with. Not just this thread but any M&H thread. Fair enough we all do that
You keep quiet when a poster doesn't align with your views - again fair enough we all do that.

But on this thread while Rousette is being bashed continuously you step in only to tell poster's supporting her that she can deal with it herself. Meanwhile it's ok for you to step in and support who you want to.

In answer to your first question - yes there are.

The issue is not the name changing itself - the issue is name changing to specifically target a specific poster. Something which has definitely happened to Rousette on this forum.

I have written on two M&H threads. I tend not to bother engaging because they always, always follow this disingenuous pattern of behaviour by the same posters who then claim innocence.
I have name changed twice.
Once to discuss an area I was planning to move to.
Once to discuss my childhood abuse.

The pattern I’m referring to is:

Consistently replying to and quoting other posters to then declare their replies as a “pile on”.

Changing the wording or editing quotes to then imply posters are stupid for writing things they never did while completely avoiding the point raised by the other poster.

Denying implying anyone is stupid.

Stating they don’t recognise your username so won’t continue to engage.

Continues to engage.

More people vehemently join in and berate the other poster. Claim there is a pile on.

Claim victimhood.

Claim other posters are obsessed stalkers for using the commonly used “previous posts” function.

Claim opposing posters are all one person because no more than one could possibly see through this little routine.

It’s all so predictably tedious.

Search on and M&H thread and if opposing posters remain engaged for long enough, you will see this consistently.

My opinions of M&H are incredibly benign. I still got replied to in an aggressive manner before this usual pattern of events unfolded.

Dear me. Not everyone who has an opposing view or who disagrees with certain comments or behaviour is 'attacking' if they choose to call that behaviour out.

There's very much a sense of someone playing the victim here. They can't seem to accept any criticism nor admit they have done anything that can be seen a certain way. It's all 'I did nothing wrong and you're all picking on me!' when that's really not the case.

Not everyone is out to get someone. Sometimes we just see something we disagree with on a public forum and decide to challenge. Sometimes we roll our eyes, think what's the point and move on. However, Rousette is fast enough to do the former with comments she dislikes so please explain why no one seems allowed to do the same in return or they're 'bashing', 'attacking', 'piling on'.
