Environmentalism.... when she takes private planes everywhere

Do you know that Charles insisted on flying over the Royal car from UK to Germany for his tour? On a plane?

Now that's a bit much for someone who beats the eco drum.

As far as their Foundation, it is the same as anyone in the USA.

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 20:33

These are the claims by Harry against ANL- He alleges the company’s newspapers targeted him through a variety of illegal means including voicemail interception, tapping of landline phones, and inappropriately obtaining credit card records. Other claimants accuse them of hacking, he as far as I’ve read says tapping, I believe a more serious offence.

He has another case against MGN ( mirror group newspapers ) starting in May, for phone hacking

OK!

Keep going! I can cope with this pile on. Used to it.

I remember you posting on another thread about W&K's relationship 'I'm sure it's fine, as it is so important they stay together'. Then when challenged of course you could say with complete truth 'but I said I am sure their relationship is fine'. Missing the part which twists the whole meaning

WTAF is wrong with that? You are now making me laugh. Have you actually read what people say about W&K? Totally vitriolic comments talking about affairs and swishy hair. Why not challenge them instead of piling in on me with a 'nothing wrong with it'comment. Is that the worst I've said? Seriously??? Come on!! It shows you up as targeting a particular poster. A bit embarrassing for you.

Right, so that poster wasn't incorrect in what they wrote. In the current case he wasn't hacked? It was a tapping of his landline and bugging of his girlfriend's car. It's a separate case in which his phone was hacked?

I assume the tapping is more serious as that allows them to listen in real-time to all calls, whilst hacking would mean they can 'only' listen to voice mails/read texts. I'd also assume bugging if a car is more serious than hacking for the same reasons, they'd be privy to all sorts.

Roussette · 31/03/2023 20:40

It was a tapping of his landline

Ahhh... Got it! So tapping his landline is different to bugging his phone! Lololol. Got it!

Cokefans · 31/03/2023 20:40

Alleged tapping - nothing has been proved and one key witness has admitted his statement was false

RocketsMagnificent7 · 31/03/2023 20:42

I can cope with this pile on

There really isn't a pile on. It's two people who disagree with you.

Do you or do you not regularly call out other posters for displaying behaviour you don't agree with? Why is someone applying the same to you a pile-on?

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 20:45

So it was my original comment which said ‘hacking’ and for ANL should have been ‘tapping’ phones for him ( hacking for others ) which is way more serious, and the ‘bugging of his girlfriend’ was included in the list of claims, it wasn’t the only claim.
Meghan did not have her letters intercepted illegally, they were given freely by the recipient (her father) again, so picky over my words, I said ‘breached’ and what I meant was she had her privacy breached by publishing her letter to her father- which she sued them for and won. I’m writing quick comments on a forum, he has alleged an even worse claim at them of phone tapping. The claims cover the period his fathers now top communications person was working there.

I am being accused of something... when all I said about W&K 'I am sure their relationship is fine as it's so important for them to stay together'

Honestly!

I suggest you read other people's posts! I am mild compared to some.

I'm a bit busy with personal attacks at the moment to be honest,, before calling out other behaviours.

😬 you didn't say bugging. That's what the other poster said. Your insistence was that his phone was 'hacked'. Therefore, I never disputed any bugging took place.

And from the post above yes there is a difference between the tapping of a landline and the hacking of a (I assume) mobile. @Whaeanui are you able to clarify, as your post above indicated the tapping is more serious and part of the current case, with the hacking being raised as part of a different case.

DuchessOfPort · 31/03/2023 20:48

the King took the state Bentley to Germany for this state occasion just as the previous Queen took it in 2015 and just as Joe Biden often travels with the Beast.

In this, it’s a security precaution; For the occupants' protection, the bodywork and glass are armoured while the cabin can be sealed in case of a gas attack and is also blast-resistant, while the tyres are Kevlar-reinforced.

OK! There are three words. Bugging. Hacking. And Tapping.

Do excuse me if I get the wrong words at the wrong time.

Take me outside and shoot me.

so pedantic when skewering a poster

They would've offered him similar I'm sure.

Facts matter. As does context. I'm hardly skewering you. Let's not be dramatic. You're quick enough to challenge people if they say something you don't like, but seem not to be able to accept the same in return?

I can accept a lot. And I do. Repeatedly. But showing a post where I said ' 'I'm sure it's fine, as it is so important they stay together' about W&K as a bad thing is a bit much, to be honest.

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 21:03

@RocketsMagnificent7 actually you’ve really got this wrong. @Roussette never ‘ insisted’, as such, and it was a brief exchange pages and pages ago, I’m not sure why it’s being dragged up as the poster had an exchange about it with her

Harry's or meghans phones have not been hacked recently and even in the ongoing case which is over incidents that happened when he was a teenager, I don't believe his phone was hacked then

So... because of your dislike of Harry, you don't believe his phone was hacked, is that what you're saying?
purple Dalmatian- my belief or opinion, like yours are irrelevant. My likes and dislikes equally irrelevant. This is about evidence.

So it was not denied in response to a direct question so I think the conclusion is valid, they don’t think that he was hacked. The funny thing was they said ‘I don’t believe he was’ and then ‘ my belief is irrelevant’

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 21:04

That wasn't me. I have no idea what that post is about and it doesn't sound like anything (what you said, not it being used against you now).

Roussette · 31/03/2023 21:05

It's nitpicking and splitting hairs to make it personal.

It always is on these threads.

I check and double check my posts because of this. Sometimes never enough.

thank you anyway @Whaeanui

I didn't say it was you. But I am giving you an example.

Bugging, hacking or tapping. I am not an expert.

Let's agree to disagree shall we? I'm happy to if you are.

Whaeanui · 31/03/2023 21:08

It is nitpicking and that poster, yourself and I, had not mentioned it for some hours. It was weird to bring it up but it was also missing parts of the conversation. I said hacking, that was questioned and bugging was put forth, the fact is he’s accused the former publisher of one of the top staff members for Charles of intercepting private communications. That was my actual point as I said to other posters at the time.

GrinAndVomit · 31/03/2023 21:11

This is what they do. It’s their regular pattern of discourse. Don’t let it bother you.

Thanks. I agree.. It is a way of diminishing the conversation and making it personal about a particular poster. Well said.

RocketsMagnificent7 · 31/03/2023 21:17

It was brought up hours later because it was the first occasion I'd read it. I didn't realise there was a time limit on being able to comment on posts you think are incorrect/unfair.

You state I've missed key parts of the conversation, you have also done so in what you've quoted.

Have I disputed anything you personally have said @Whaeanui I actually found your post about the tapping being more serious interesting and sought to engage a bit further with it.

Instead you've decided to tell me I'm wrong, while posting half the conversation.

I'm more than happy to discuss/debate but I'll call out hypocrisy and disingenuous comments when I see them.
