Yep @skullbabe a myriad of excuses as to why these people don't deserve justice.
Apparently Sadie Frost is 'no role model'... she probably shouldn't be there either.

And someone said, it was so long ago, it's old news, and they didn't really care about it. Well, I suppose you wouldn't until one day you are the one affected, then you might. Till then, who cares about all of this.
I was involved in something (not quite like this, but pretty bad, police and law involved) and I tell you, I don't under estimate anyone wanting justice because the trauma associated with it dissipates, but never totally goes away.

I just wish I could have made a bet on Janiie not liking Hugh Grant, I would've put my life savings on it! He's a leeetle too liberal for her.

Whaeanui · 28/03/2023 15:09

@Roussette well the ‘it’s old news’ isn’t accurate, ANL & daily Mail have never been involved in the hacking we’ve heard about before. This is actually new!

Rhondaa · 28/03/2023 15:13

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 28/03/2023 14:51

TBF I don't particularly like any man who uses prostitutes. Being famous or getting caught for it is irrelevant to me. But I think HG should be protected by the law against hacking the same as everyone else.

Yes sorry , to be clear, im not suggesting alleged phone hacking is ok if you’ve been arrested in the past for using prostitutes, it isn't, it is illegal whatever the situation. At this stage it is just alleged though.

My point was like Harry he possibly has an axe to grind with the media and I just hope they aren't using respected and well liked high profile people to further their cause.

'I just wish I could have made a bet on Janiie not liking Hugh Grant, I would've put my life savings on it! He's a leeetle too liberal for her.'

Yep sorry giggling about using 'hookers' in a chat show is indeed a 'leeetle' too liberal for me but I did quite like him in Paddington.

skullbabe · 28/03/2023 15:19

Again - somebody broke into his house. Someone broke into his house to snoop and place devices. The same group of people put listening devices on his ex girlfriend’s windows to listen to possible conversations they may have. The ex girlfriend is also part of the group in court now.

Of course he has an axe to grind - I’m not sure I would be magnanimous about someone breaking into my house for any reason.

Whaeanui · 28/03/2023 15:27

further their cause

Their cause is the same as the other claimants, they’ve all suffered similar intrusion and breach of privacy. The cause is to hold them accountable, as they haven’t been before. I’d say all the claimants could be said to have an axe to grind. The way ANL have talked about Baroness Lawrence not being wise enough to bring this case herself, being tricked by other claimants and their lawyers, is truly disgusting. She’s seen the evidence, consulted lawyers and brought a claim all because she knows it’s wrong. The fact they have an axe to grind doesn’t change anything, I would too if I was in their position. You could say the daily Mail have an axe to grind against Harry over all of the legal cases and are spewing vile crap stories about him for that reason.

@Roussette At least Elton tried to be a little more private. Harry wants to be seen and photographed as it ups his brands profile.

Sorry to burst your purple balloon, but Harry is out front & centre for a simple and strategic reason: To shine a global spotlight on the criminality that was carried out by this tabloid media empire so it can’t be hidden from public scrutiny.

Feel free to continue the nonsensical Harry-bashing if that brings you joy, But I refuse to believe anyone so thick as to not understand what he’s doing & why.

milti · 28/03/2023 16:48

Thanks Elton 😃

Absolutely. He is shining a light on abhorrent practice.
As is Elton John who would probably rather be anywhere else than there.

I imagine the claimants communicated between themselves prior to the first day in court

Maybe. Time will tell I think. It depends whether he uses the experience to try to change things for the better or whether he tries to make money from it in some way.

He's pointing out the centre of the universe in that one 😂

VixenTodd · 28/03/2023 17:05

Are non motivational cliches allowed on Planet Loon like Friday nights for instance?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/03/2023 17:20

It's not about whether or not he is a deserving victim or not., it's about whether or not he is a credible witness. Maybe all the evidence will be factual and evidence based and the victims will not be called as witnesses. Harry would be ripped to pieces in the witness box by a good barrister

Interesting point, sweetpeas. There's a bit of difference between barristers and Oprah, and while we don't even know if it'll go to trial yet, how Harry would fare under incisive questioning doesn't bear thinking about - just the curated memory vs actual truth comment would be a gift from heaven to the defence, and not something I imagine they'd neglect

It's entirely possible the plaintiffs' legal team will have worked this out for themselves though, so maybe he'll be kept well away from any such thing - not just for his own sake but that of the case and the others involved too

Isn't the court case all of them trying to change things for the better?

I would've thought so

Meghan made a fool of the judiciary with her last case ‘forgetting’ she had cooperated with funding freedom. Like a ultime would forget providing information to an author of a book about yourself 😂

Sure. 🙄

That’s why she won the case. 😏

And the email was one of thousands from 3 years earlier to which she didn’t have access prior to her testimony. It was to her staffer (I think it was Wm’s man Jason Knauff who spent his time trying to sabotage Meghan) that she hoped the writer would at least be accurate about a specific incident that had been queried, given how much misinformation was out there.

The court case she proved she didn’t in fact cooperate with the book because she didn’t trust the writer although the palace strangely encouraged her to do so.

Jason Knauff is the one who gave Meghan’s private letter to her father to the tabloid, then testified against her. With William’s approval undoubtedly. She won the case anyway.

Fortunately she & Harry were able escaped from that nest of vipers who are still trying to use them as scapegoats.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 28/03/2023 17:40

I would've thought so

I would have thought so too but none of others have done the stuff that Harry has - like reveal private stuff about his family for money. So I think his motivation isn't yet quite as clear.

VixenTodd · 28/03/2023 17:41

Why doesnt Serenster lay on a legal comprehension course for the sugars who are still not understanding the basics.

That's not about that. He has talked endlessly about the problems he has had with the media so no idea why you think that isn't his motivation

PlanetLuna · 28/03/2023 17:48

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 28/03/2023 10:00

Actually, watching the BBC video it looks like Harry wasn't looking where he was going and had the photographer not been there he would have walked into the fence. The photographer looks really pissed off about it because he and his bag were pushed against the fence.

The photographer didn’t look pissed off. He looked sheepish & a little scared & he said “Sorry Harry”. I think he was in the wrong place.

But regardless, Harry walked through the front entrance yesterday to bring attention to this important case and wake up the press & public to give this case the attention it deserves. 😂😂😂 Well done him!

I note he came through the side entrance this morning. 😂

PlanetLuna · 28/03/2023 17:50

Whaeanui · 28/03/2023 09:26

Just because Harry is attached to it. To have hate of someone you don't know transcend something like hacking is pretty disgusting

It is, but as all the death threats they’ve received has proven, there are some deeply unhinged racist people who want to destroy them. It’s deeply unpleasant.

@Whaeanui
A lot of unhinged people in these comments…😂

This is just as full of plain wrong facts as your assertion that PH is a leader of fighting phone hackers. 🙄

Whaeanui · 28/03/2023 10:31

The Baroness and Harry hugged inside the courtroom as noted by journalists. The claimants are a group, known to each other with the same lawyer and are supportive of each other. Just because of who Harry is, doesn’t make him less of a claimant or potential victim of ANL than any other claimant.

Exactly this, @Whaeanui.

The radicalisation of the public by the tabloid media and contrived culture wars will make for interesting case studies in future media & political studies.

This. Its both fascinating and terrifying how gullible people can be.
