AskAwayAgain · 24/03/2023 10:25

Does anyone know who will be performing at the concert?

Probably same old has beens!

AskAwayAgain · 24/03/2023 11:52

Does nobody know then?
I thought this was a big thing so they would be announcing who is appearing. I applied for tickets but it does not look like I was successful.

I don't think anyone who was successful in the ballot is due to find out until later in April, at least that's what was detailed on the ballot application.

I had forgotten that. The concert is on the 5th of May though, so a bit last minute. We could end up with a weeks notice.

I saw a good article from Snoop Dogg saying how he was delighted to be performing as he's such a fan of the Royal family.......

I thought the concert date was Sunday 7th. If you misread when the ballot results will be announced and it transpires you're unable to attend, I'm sure someone else would be happy to have your tickets.

Yeah! You know they all live in a big mansion house together between royal concerts?

Craig David makes a lovely mushroom omelette apparently. Simon le Bon likes a steaming hot bath. Gary Barlow answers the phone and organises the day's events. Sting practises Vinyassa yoga on the back lawn, observed by Annie Lennox in a rocking chair. Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey have a daily drinking competition over a game of chess. Best not to mention what Robbie Williams gets up to.

AskAwayAgain · 24/03/2023 14:11

@Coxspurplepippin We are both wrong. Saturday the 6th of May.

It all seems a bit last minute.
No one even knows who will be appearing.

So far I've heard Brian May, Lionel Ritchie & Take That.

I don't think they did a big announcement about any of the Jubilee concerts.

I don't see the need for panic OP.

Beaverbridge · 24/03/2023 14:58

Queen and Madness usually get wheeled out too.

They won't want Queen any more now though, maybe King will reform for the coronation 😁

It would be a point of Love and Pride for him to perform.

@Beaverbridge looks like you are right then.

At least Take That bring the average age down - they are in their fifties now. while Lionel Ritchie and Brian May are in their 70s.
I am surprised Brian May would perform as he had a major heart attack in 2020. I hope he doesn't push himself too much or maybe it will just be a very short set from him.

Well considering Queen did a major sell out arena tour last year he's obviously not quite past it yet.

And they are apparently touring North America this year. I would think a little tune for Charles would be a breeze

Notasyoungasiwas · 24/03/2023 16:21

I think the concert is on Sunday 7th May
