George, Charlotte and Louis will be in the Coronation Procession. A shame Archie was not invited to join them.

i disagree.
it is perfectly fine and to be expected

Pixiedust1234 · 24/03/2023 01:05

They are the children of the Heir to the Throne, they are not there because they are the grandchildren.

Whenharrymetsmelly · 24/03/2023 01:08

Good point by PP, but also H&M despise everything the crown stands for, why would they want their son to be part of the occasion? That makes no sense at all

AskAwayAgain · 24/03/2023 01:13

George is Heir, the rest are grandchildren.

Louis has photos of him putting his hand over his mothers mouth, that will keep coming out from his appearance at the Queens 70th, he was being a pre school child. It's probably best Archie is left to get on with things small children do.

Cupcakegirl13 · 24/03/2023 02:41

How on earth do you know if Archie has been invited or not ???

Exactly. Why would they want to celebrate the institution they so despise?

Charlotte & Louis are children of the Heir. A very different position to Archie. The Wales' roles in the RF are the most prominent after the King & Queen & as such their children are getting used to a public role.

When Harry dislikes everything about the RF as he seems to why on earth would he want to subject his children to being part of it, especially when they have no experience of being in the limelight the way their cousins are.

Exactly this. Harry and Meghan didn't want to be working royals, fair enough, but that means they slip well down the list of importance so why should their child be included in a royal celebration?

Exactly why would you want to put your child through supporting something you have told the world has destroyed your life?

MichelleScarn · 24/03/2023 04:33

Just realised that might read odd with my repeat of exactly!

Whoiscomingtosaveyou · 24/03/2023 04:57

They left the royal family because they hated the publicity that went with it.
Why would they then opt to push their children into the spotlight? Especially given all the harm Harry alleges it did to him as a child.
They wouldn’t want to be seen as hypocrites now would they?

Exactly! No one knows who was invited or not invited or what reasons for declining or agreeing were, but I can guarantee this won't stop pages and pages of discussion by people who have decided they know what happened.

TokyoSushi · 24/03/2023 05:14

The Wales family are the most senior 'mini family' after Charles & Camilla so of course it makes sense. After H&M have spent the last couple of years saying how awful the institution is it would be beyond hypocritical for them to have their children included.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/03/2023 05:27

Louis will be 5 & Archie just 4. It might be only be a 1 year difference but socially & emotionally that year does make a big difference.

Anyway does anyone know for certain if H&M are coming over for the coronation & whether the children are involved or is it just the media shit stirring again?

TerfIngOnTheBeach · 24/03/2023 05:31

It’s Archie’s 4th birthday anyway, he’ll no doubt be in CA blowing his candles out with the Oprah clapping in the background. There will be a professional photographer on site ready to upload the pics just as the King gets his crown put on his head.

ittakes2 · 24/03/2023 06:06

Harry and Meghan have wanted to keep their children’s faces out of the photographs - I am guessing they would not want their kids with zero experience of royal duty to suddenly be in a very public event so I am not sure why you think it’s a good idea. The Wales children are used to it.

Charlotte and Louis are obviously in a different position to Archie and Lily. Just like Harry was in a different position to Peter, Zara, Eugenie etc - all grandchildren of the queen, but Harry was also the son of the heir.

Mumsnut · 24/03/2023 07:02

I imagine that, if the Sussexes do come and take part in the carriage procession, their children will be in the carriage with them should they wish it. After all, a carriage ride with lots of waving isn’t beyond even a toddler on their parent’s lap. It isn’t like sitting through a 2 hr service. But the palace can’t announce it if they don’t know whether the Sussexes are coming and bringing their children.

Redglitter · 24/03/2023 07:14

I think KC has made it clear though that as far as the procession etc goes its going to be working Royals only

smilesy · 24/03/2023 07:33

I can’t see how it would work for Archie to be part of the ceremony. He has never been in front of that many people in that sort of environment before as pp have said. The Wales children are used to it. I’m sure it would be very unsettling for him at the least, if not downright frightening. Put that together with the fact that he will have had a long journey to get here and may well be jet lagged and he would need to take part in some sort of rehearsal before hand (presumably) and I would say it’s a bit of a non starter 🤷‍♀️

Prescottdanni123 · 24/03/2023 07:56

All 3 of them are children of the next king and are close to the throne. Archive and Lillibet are 6th and 7th and their parents aren't even working royals anymore. If Harry and Meghan hate such an entrapment, racist institution, why do they even want their kids to have the prince and princess titles? Why do they want their kids to take part in the coronation for the next evil monarch?

QuintanaRoo · 24/03/2023 08:01

Louis may only be slightly older than Archie but will have his familiar siblings to help ease any scariness. They are all strangers to archie, it would be very daunting. His parents aren’t working royals so obviously can’t be there

Prescottdanni123 · 24/03/2023 08:02

I doubt Harry and Meghan will come because they will have been told no, Charles and William won't talk to you without a tape recorder and a lawyer present, no, you can't stand in front of William and Kate on the balcony and no we will not be getting the British public to sing Happy Birthday to Archie while he's on the balcony, in fact you can't even stand on the balcony at all because you aren't working royals, no you cannot have the entire met police force guarding just the pair of you.

VixenTodd · 24/03/2023 08:36

It's for the best. They would get compared in detail. The papers would be brutal.
