Sussex's snubbed on both sides of the Atlantic

Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation - by necessity - but this toxic pair will be kept at a careful arm's length by all and sundry, excluded from the balcony or carriage procession, and probably positioned somewhere suitably inconspicuous. Most of the family will be wary of them, most will wherever possible avoid them and the crowds will likely boo them. There will be no lucrative photo ops with William or Kate. The Wales children will be in the limelight, but Harry and Meghan's children will be excluded, due to age.

Meanwhile, over in the States, where they no doubt expected to be feted when they planned their dramatic departure from the UK, opinion polls reveal them to be less popular now than even Prince Andrew. South Park mocked them to general acclaim and The Cut published a contemptuous piece about the possible relaunch of the Tig last week.

They've been snubbed and excluded from every big social event, from the Met Gala to Obama's birthday party and Elton John's Oscar's bash. The only parties they have attended have been those hosted by social pariahs like Ellen de Generes.

They are coming across as increasingly desperate and embarrassing. It's hard to to see any possible comeback from here.

i do remember posters felt quite happy to comment on the Tom Bowyer book without having read it either, so need to take their own advise.

Gosh!

How novel ! We haven't had a 'I hate Harry & Meghan' thread for all of ummm 40 minutes!

About time for a new one!

I think the op must of been on holiday. Have not seen them for a while

Howsimplywonderful · 18/03/2023 17:14

The bench was terrible, only the seriously deluded think it was any good.

Now what does that have to do with Harry not being included in the one promotional interview Meghan did?

Howsimplywonderful · 18/03/2023 17:17

People questioning the quality of their output is hardly ‘hating them’

Blip · 18/03/2023 17:20

The Tig revival is a weird one.
Clearly there are some people who would like relationship advice and fashion advice from Meghan.
Good luck to them.

It's absolutely not being revived. Meghan extends the trademark yearly and the papers pretend to not know it's routine maintenance. It's another vehicle to mock and abuse her.

This description of a type of narcissist - the ‘communal narcissist’ really reminds me of Meghan.

How much money has Archewell given to charity so far?

A narcissist who sees themselves as being superior because of their intelligence or good looks is said to have agentic narcissism, whereas a narcissist who places themselves on a pedestal for prosocial behavior is communal.

The problem with communal narcissists is that their views of themselves as being especially kind, caring, and generous typically do not align with reality. The communal narcissist may believe they are especially kind to others when others do not see them this way.

A communal narcissist may brag about their service and good deeds to others, but they often exaggerate and have little support to back up their claims. Their true aim is not to help others but rather to be seen as helpful because this feeds their self-esteem.

We've gone from H&M being snubbed to Meghan reminding you of narcissism 😅

Oh dear, oh dear.

Op, why do you think H&M are going to appear everywhere and if they don't it's a snub? You sound like someone who enjoys spending an inordinate amount of time hating on a couple because you've been told to. Perhaps you should give this a read: yorkshirebylines.co.uk/news/home-affairs/harry-and-meghan-haters-time-to-face-facts-you-are-being-played/

It might cure help you.

Now that you've got that off your chest do you feel much better? It must have been eating at you throughout the night. I'm glad you're relieved! Similar to when you take a massive dump and feel a stone lighter!

😂😂😂

michaelm

Good article. Thank you.

This stood out

"It’s a vicious cycle. People complain about them constantly being in the limelight while consuming mass articles and commentary, thus propelling the media to publish more and more.

After Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Meghan did not show herself for 250 days. The media during those days wrote thousands of articles about her. On the first day, The Express alone reported over 50. The tabloids have been cashing in on their lives for years with lies, conjecture and bias. They would keep the couple in the limelight, documentary or not, because there is money in doing so. Now that Harry and Meghan are making money from producing and telling their own story, it is an entirely different matter. How dare they."

The hate Meghan campaign is a billion dollar industry.

Meghan's breed of narcissism is glaringly obvious to most - it is part of the reason why she is being snubbed. It's an unattractive quality.

Are you a psychiatrist or psychologist?

Thought not!

Hating H&M is a money-making scheme for so many slimeballs, including Meghan's scumbag sister:

One channel focusing on anti-Meghan Markle content has reported ties to Markle’s estranged half sister, Samantha Markle. It created a network with two other anti-Meghan channels. These three YouTube channels alone have over 70 million views combined and $495,730 in total YouTube earnings.

H&M refuse to play the tabloid game/invisible contract so they are roundly punished for it.

The tabloids are angry and want to ensure we are angry on their behalf.

And it's worked. People have fallen for it, hook, line and sinker.

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/03/2023 18:42

@susan12345678, if you don't like H&M do yourself a favour and stop obsessing over them. It's not a good look.🙈

Blip · 18/03/2023 19:16

@TooBigForMyBoots how rude

milti · 18/03/2023 19:33

@Roussette I can live with that 😃

susan12345678 · 18/03/2023 19:41

I'm not fazed by the petty personal attacks, I can see that it's easy to sling insults around rather than argue against the facts - after all, the reality of the Sussex's catastrophic miscalculations must really be sinking in now.

Their multiple, shameless assaults on the RF (Oprah, Netflix, Harry's book etc), the unseemly leaks via Omid etc have put them very much in the cold in the UK. Even if they do put in an appearance at the coronation, most of the RF will be understandably cool & wary of having anything to do with them.

Equally, they haven't exactly blazed a trail in Hollywood, their complaints about their own families and narcissistic behaviour have made them a laughing stock (hence South Park). Nor have they been invited to any blue ribbon social events since they left.

Not sure where the controversy lies - all of the above is basically just a statement of facts.

Why is Ellen a social pariah?

She's reportedly a massive bully and a rather unpleasant person.

LolaSmiles · 18/03/2023 19:55

I'm not their biggest fan given their actions since leaving, but them having a lower popularity score than Prince Andrew isn't something I consider worth gloating about.
It's absolutely concerning that in 2023 there's enough of the general public who'll care more about a family spat than a highly privileged man with dubious connections to a paedophile, with allegation of sex with a minor hanging over him.
