The royal family

Sussex's snubbed on both sides of the Atlantic

Harry and Meghan will be invited to the coronation - by necessity - but this toxic pair will be kept at a careful arm's length by all and sundry, excluded from the balcony or carriage procession, and probably positioned somewhere suitably inconspicuous. Most of the family will be wary of them, most will wherever possible avoid them and the crowds will likely boo them. There will be no lucrative photo ops with William or Kate. The Wales children will be in the limelight, but Harry and Meghan's children will be excluded, due to age.

Meanwhile, over in the States, where they no doubt expected to be feted when they planned their dramatic departure from the UK, opinion polls reveal them to be less popular now than even Prince Andrew. South Park mocked them to general acclaim and The Cut published a contemptuous piece about the possible relaunch of the Tig last week.

They've been snubbed and excluded from every big social event, from the Met Gala to Obama's birthday party and Elton John's Oscar's bash. The only parties they have attended have been those hosted by social pariahs like Ellen de Generes.

They are coming across as increasingly desperate and embarrassing. It's hard to to see any possible comeback from here.

A battle of two sides is the only way dimmies get wound up to react when the rest know you can support neither or both at the same time. But it is what it is.

Do you have the helpline information in Russian?

Isn't it just! I honestly think it's an addiction, or a nasty habit. Haven't worked out which!

I think some posters need to contact the Meghan Markle Helpline. Here are the details. Please watch till the end. It will help. Grin

Good shout on the help line 😂I believe it is an addiction. These posts are so fascinating to me, it's not enough for them to believe H&M are finished, snubbed and over, they need others to believe the same. When you don't, you're a paid shill - unlike the OP creating hate threads out of nowhere.

shattered25 · 18/03/2023 15:53

I don't think so :/ people still seem pretty obsessed with them and they don't strike me as the type to be in the background. And I would hope royal members with all the protocols and duty wouldn't be petty enough to hide them. Also as a human being like hell would I go to an event to be treated like a leper haha if that was the case they won't go :)

This thread itself is a manifestation of that obsession, I hope you can understand that. Meghan herself wasn't seen for three months yet the mocking and abusive articles didn't stop. I hope H&M do skip the coronation, papers have already being briefed that they would be given the cold shoulder. They can stay home and celebrate Archie's day.

susan12345678 · 18/03/2023 15:56

The klaxon has clearly sounded in Sussex-squadland... it's like poking a nest of angry hornets.

Lots of wailing but no coherent rebuttals. The truth is clearly very triggering.

😎
My advice is to perhaps try closing your eyes, tapping your shoulders and recite some mantras like your saviours taught you. It might be challenging to perform all three actions at once but Harry managed it. 😆

So what are your thoughts on the constant stream of nasty posts about Kate? Someone who - unlike Meghan - has never made unpleasant & unfounded accusations about her family in public?

I accept that there are people who genuinely dislike Kate, just as I accept that there are people who genuinely loathe Meghan.

As for unpleasant accusations from Kate, I wonder who leaked to the papers that Meghan made her cry? that was the beginning of some of the nastiest coverage a very distressed and pregnant Meghan ever received.

Plitvice · 18/03/2023 16:03

If it is, then the obsession is a anti-obsession. The type where the majority of the populace are willing for two unpopular individuals to disappear but they keep on rebounding with more and more absurd attempts to remain relevant which generates even greater enthusiasm to counter them. It's like in the panto when the villains have been driven away by the main character who thinks they are gone. The audience is shouting "they are over there!" but everytime the main character looks they move themselves to a different section of the stage.

Yes, that was awful. Most unpleasant.

The modus operandi appears to be.... when losing ground, accuse those that don't agree with you of being Russian or a paid shill !

I think it was the OP (not sure, and can't be arsed to check) that accused me of being a Russian bot. Repeatedly. So much so MNHQ had to step in.

That is how ridiculous this all is!

Bottom line is... Meghan is not a disgusting abhorrent woman. And as much as the haters try and convince me of that, the more I want to defend her. As a PP said... she was completely absent for 3 months from beginning December onwards. Did the hate threads stop? Nope.

Please contact the Meghan Markle helpline all those that cannot give up this toxic habit.

That's it guys, just keep drinking that kool-aid.

Meanwhile, Kate will one day be Queen, and Meghan will still be hopelessly grasping for attention at the fringes, clinging dementedly to titles from an institution she claims to hold in contempt. What an unseemly car-crash

It's so upsetting I can't understand why nobody having sleepness nights worrying themselves over to sleep,

Interesting take but I do not see it that way. As I said earlier, Meghan disappeared from public view for three months and nothing changed. The papers and the morning shows are obsessed, nothing H&M can do about that. If people truly want H&M to disappear they'd disengage entirely from any content about them, no attention, no currency.

Did she indeed? When was that exactly?

Somebody who saw it happen? 🤔
Does a "distressed and pregnant" Meghan's feelings a year later matter more than a distressed mother of three with a newborn which was the case when it happened.

I will say you've drank the kool-aid of hate then. I'm sure Kate would be a great Queen for the UK, she seems to represent all they are at the moment. You can celebrate her without putting Meghan down. Truly.

That is absolutely it.

The number of times I've posted that there are a couple of famous people I mildly dislike. I do not click on articles on them. I never ever go on threads about them. I don't waste my headspace on them. No one can ever answer why they do the complete opposite. It's pretty obvious they aren't going to change minds isn't it?

So why in god's name do posters insist on spending hours and days and weeks and months writing about two people they actively dislike with a vengeance?

It's beyond me. They must read all the articles about them, they must love it when there is 26 articles in one day in the DFail. And they ensure this couple will be in the news by clicking on them

I don't believe she was seen from early December till late February. After that award ceremony till they were spotted out for dinner in LA.
