Was there anything Kate didn't excel at?

Having read many articles Kate (pippa & James also) is so accomplished since she was tiny.
She is very sporty.. strong swimmer, excellent skier, hockey player, lacrosse, athletics, netball.. Plays piano very well & also was lead in schools drama production. Excelled at art.
It seems the Middleton's didn't do much in the way of equistrian sports?
Would love my dc to be as accomplished & well rounded. Can't afford Marlborough or any private for that matter!

JuliesBicycle the same way lots of people become known - left university, worked, been good at what they did. I mean, you know, how did Jeff Bezos, Alice Roberts, Annie Lennox, Angela Merkel etc etc become known? It's a bit of a daft question isn't it. Despite what some people think, Kate has a work ethic, common sense, strong character. I'm pretty sure, even if she hadn't married a prince, she'd have made a successful life.

They went to a great school and had lots of opportunities.....

Doesn't mean they are not talented at what they do, but would they have been so accomplished had they attended run of the mill state schools? Probably not. I'd get saving......

Well 99.9% we do. Statistically it is very unusual to have a public profile, nothing that she’s done, and nothing that we know about her rather reserved character indicates she would have done anything of public note. Which isn’t an insult at all.

We actually don't. Lots of people who have, to some extent, public personas, also have very reserved, private characters. We know very little about the private lives of most of the truly powerful people in the world.

Neither Meghan nor Kate are hard workers.
Meghan's acting career was pretty much on par with what could have been Kate's art gallery career.
Neither would have been doing the daily grind mopping the floors at Tesco at 6am in the morning. Over twenty years, Meghan got very little acting work. only one supporting role right at the end of it. That's why she had time for all her immature Soho House and wild holiday antics which the press has largely suppressed.

She was sporty and got good grades at school. Went to a good university and met a Prince and that was it. She put all her determination into making that relationship work. That is her life choice. Feminism is about choice right. In reality she was sporty, not to anywhere near an elite level. She got good grades but nothing unusual but also Pippa and James (although their were MH issues there) never really worked either.

Eugenie and Beatrice and Peter and Zara managed more than that.

To be overburdened with brains isn’t a good thing for a royal.

charles likes to think he is but he isn’t. William is more like his grandmother and has no illusions and from what we know Kate never claimed to be after anything other than she was.

Besides, Kate and Pippa are following the successful example of their own mother so why is it a surprise? Carole also looked good and behaved well and found herself a richer guy to elevate her social status.

They hardly compare to their mother. She may have married up class wise but it was her determination that built that business.

Meghan also went to a top fee paying Catholic school, an unremarkable uni & had a pitiful acting career up until suits which isn't exactly Hollywood. Kate's gallery career much more impressive & intellectual.

Because it did. They had trusts for education purposes from his family and were perhaps an upper middle class family but it is the business which kept that fortune growing.

That’s ridiculous. She never had a career and is hardly an intellectual. It’s fine to admit what she is. She is certainly brighter than her husband but that is it. Good education and made a strategic marriage.
