The royal family

How do republicans who support H&M feel about 'princess' lillibet

I mean how do you reconcile the, to me, gross hypocrisy of saying you want to leave the royal family to pursue your own projects and for privacy and would give up their royal titles.

Their own projects so far consist of trashing the royal family and making money from it, while clinging to their royal titles.

Privacy consists of reality tv shows, public therapy sessions and a book tour.

They touted their children's privacy and security as a reason for leaving yet they name their children prince and princess. A sure fire way to draw attention to them and reduce their security.

I honestly want to know how people who want the monarchy gone yet praise harry and Meghan for their bravery in standing up to the RF, square this circle?

Thank you for answering. I had no intention of creating a “pile on “as you put it.🤷‍♀️ No need for snippiness 😆. Unfortunately, the details about todgers and baths are in the book, so they will be referred to as examples of Harry over sharing. We can’t just stick our fingers in our ears and go la la la and pretend they are not there 😂😂

I never thought for one minute you were trying to create anything. That sort of thing happens with no warning whatsoever.

And I don't feel I was snippy, apologies if so.

Todgers and baths endlessly stop proper discussion because it is just thrown out to shut people up

Serenster · 10/03/2023 10:24

Like others use Prince Andrew, I suppose…😏

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 10/03/2023 10:27

Nice handy coincidence that the Sussex thing was sorted yesterday leaving today - Edward’s birthday and he and Sophie being in Edinburgh - to announce this.
I mean, come on people, this has obviously been the plan. That’s clearly why they’re in Edinburgh today…

Exactly. The idea that this was in response to H and M's title statements in the last few days....honestly do these posters actually listen to themselves? It's batshit.

@serenster
I find your remark re Andrew very revealing

When you weigh up offences , Harrt talking about his frostbitten penis is similar to Andrew having sex with trafficked teenagers and being a close associate of Epstein for years .

That does chime with the excuses found for Andrew by royalists on these boards

Well said @MrsMaxDeWinter

Hating MM is a billion dollar industry. It will never stop, too many people make too much money from it.

Especially Harry and Meghan 😂😂😂😂

Well, yes and no. I mean yes, the silly details in Harry’s book are just that. But there is also the issue of him having brought other people in to his book who didn’t ask or consent to be included and that will inevitably bring press speculation down on them. And as pp have said, the more details he includes about himself, the more speculation and intrusion he invites. Also, the way he talks about others is at the least unpleasant at times and I can’t imagine he would like the favour to be returned. The same sort of thing applies with using the Prince and Princess titles when he allegedly dislikes the institution that bestows them.

Really? I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone defend Andrew on here.

Generally technical legal arguments whilst begrudgingly acknowledging hes a wrongun.

Not really but I do need to learn who it's worth engaging with. I should just roll my eyes and scroll on more often.

Congratulations you have passed level one of how to be a Royal. Other lessons are practising how nice,gosh that sounds interesting and you must have come a long way. Second level is rictus grins and smiling and waving at the same time.

Good grief. They do. Not this thread but endlessly on others

purpledalmation · 10/03/2023 11:17

@Roussette In what way do I want an echo chamber? So I want to put things out there and everyone agree with me? Judging by my Op I want to understand how people square the circle of hypocrisy. Not an echo chamber. Stop tossing out buzz words thinking it makes you sound clever.

Your post of 10.45. it doesn't work shutting people up

Novella4 · 10/03/2023 11:36

@derxa
It's a collective noun - eg ' the French , the British .

Novella4 · 10/03/2023 11:37

Actually thinking about it - maybe it's an adjective ?

Coxspurplepippin · 10/03/2023 11:37
