Lillibet's christening

Lillibet was christened in California last Friday by the Archbishop. Meghan's mother was there. Charles, Camilla, William and Kate were invited, but neither Harry's father or brother attended.

@upinaballoon , please see my post directly above ⬆️, the one you quoted was a joke!

caringcarer · 08/03/2023 20:36

@OutOfChocolate, yes H&M non attendance at Kings Coronation would be best all around. They may get boos if they attend.

Was Thomas Markle invited? What about the niece, Samantha's daughter, who is apparently close to Meghan? What's stopping them inviting her and building bridges on Meghan's side?

Unfortunate. Lets hope that Charles makes them center stage at the coronation and does everything he can to welcome and reassure them.

MN would explode!

Btjdkfnn · 08/03/2023 21:10

I don’t know why they would go after the lashing that they got in the book. Plus, they’d just have been filmed and put on Netflix. Or written about.

SnowdayYay · 08/03/2023 21:14

Charles's lashed his parents in his own book and look where he is now.
William has also been less than complimentary about Charles.

It's par for the course.

Had his security not been removed he wouldn't be hawking all this anyway

toomuchlaundry · 08/03/2023 21:19

Don’t think Harry went to Charlotte’s christening?

UWhatNow · 08/03/2023 21:32

If that child is truly now a Princess I’m turning republican. She has hardly been in the UK. I felt the same annoyance when I read that Richard the so-called Lionheart barely ever set foot in England and couldn’t speak English. The RF should live here and earn the titles!

KingDog · 08/03/2023 14:17

God, the name is so cringe. I know it's been a while now and it's not the point of the thread but whenever I read it I cringe. She'll probably decide to go by lily or betty. What is it with rich celebs and wacko names?

I know.

Abrogating the queen's private nickname is in toe-curlingly bad taste. Shows how self-absorbed & tone deaf they are.

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 08/03/2023 22:43

LivelyBlake · 08/03/2023 16:08

I wonder if the Netflix crew were in attendance.

You know they were.

If they do attend the coronation they'll be dodged by everyone. Who wants to be the target in their next installment??

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 08/03/2023 22:46

Howsimplywonderful · 08/03/2023 18:11

The rest of the RF have to be careful to attend parties where drugs might be offered.

Hahaha, good one!

Interesting, that after everything including all the scandals about the RF. Lillibet being formally recognised as a princess is what it takes.

OutOfChocolate · 08/03/2023 23:11

Titles are hereditary. They have nothing to do with your behaviour, that si the point.

It was a passive aggressive invitation anyway intended to be another way they can act the victims. They of course knew they wouldn't attend but it means Harry and Megan can now cry about how they tried to "build bridges".

Sadly I agree with this. Wish it weren't true, but given H&Ms actions, everything they do seems to have an ulterior motive!

So none of the family can be bothered going to Lillibets christening?
Maybe Harry and Meghan can not be bothered going to the coronation?

Here's hoping 🤞

but you can choose to be a republican for any reason you wish including the conduct of the RF

It's interesting that Lillibet automatically becoming a Princess is what it takes for @UWhatNow

Verylongtime · 09/03/2023 09:29

Perhaps you could get the child’s actual name right, for a start. No such person as Lillibet, or Megan for that matter.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 09/03/2023 09:34

@PreparationPreparationPrep

All that cash in suitcases from dodgy people, that even larger cash payout to settle an embarrassing lawsuit about a sex scandal, an adulterer as Head of the Church of England ...

But is it Lili's title by convention that will turn @UWhatNow republican !!

Qwhite right!

I am fairly sure that they will attend, now they have announced they will be styling their children and Prince and Princess as their “birthright”.

It also I am sure will not escape them that turning up with two cute pre-school children in tow will very likely protect them from any overt signs of dissent fro the crowd.

Even if M and H go, I wouldn’t expect any tiny children to go at all, or even be invited.

They may even get cheers….

bloodyplanes · 09/03/2023 09:42

@Lampzade 😂😂 are you serious?

EdithWeston · 09/03/2023 09:43

The Royal titles of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex are now official on the RF website

www.royal.uk/succession

I am very sure they will, too, if it helps! Cheers and boos I would have thought were likely if they turn up by themselves.
