Lillibet's christening

Lillibet was christened in California last Friday by the Archbishop. Meghan's mother was there. Charles, Camilla, William and Kate were invited, but neither Harry's father or brother attended.

Omid you're really going to have to start branching out into other areas, otherwise you'll become pigeon holed.

I don't think it was that couldn't be bothered. Probably more that they didn't want to. Would you want to go to an occasion when you know that anything you do or say could end up in a book, on Oprah, in interviews? I don't understand why people like you think that they should just ignore it all? If my family were constantly bitching about me on facebook I wouldn't go to their occasions, nevermind if they were doing it as their job to the whole world.

Lots of things about Harry have been leaked by Charles. The information that Harry only shared with Charles was that Harry was happy to give up his title. It was in the press the next day.

And there are loads of articles about how much William hates or dislikes his brother.

‘Loads of articles’ doesn’t mean it’s been ‘leaked’ by William, you sound incredibly naive.

Frankly after H&M have waged war on the royals They can’t expect anyone to attend. Harry wants his cake, to sell it and eat it. He has made himself look a right moron. I hope they don’t attend the coronation, but I suspect they will as their popularity is waning and they need to claw back some attachment to the royals as that is all that makes them interesting in the US.

Hard agree. I quite like Harry and Meghan but the name is really cringe. My Granny used to be called Gidget by the family (based on the name of short girl in an obscure novel) and if I had called my daughter that I would have had the family ringing social services. Objectively, Lilibet is actually worse than that.

Eugh, the pair of them are ridiculous. And yes, calling her Lillibet has forever tainted it from a lovely and personal nickname of the queen, to a tactical effort to appease when respect and dignity would have been far more appropriate.

Charles is not bothered about his grandchildren. William said publicly he does not see much of William's children.
And William is constantly leaking to the press how much he hates his brother.
They were never going to go.

I'm not sure I agree with you, seeing Louis wander over to Charles and sit on his knee at an event tells me he's fairly close to his grandad

i think the country will bear the lack of Harry and Meghan at the coronation with equanimity. And if their Netflix crew aren’t allowed in, they probably don’t want to go anyway.
