What do you think?

I'm not surprised. I wonder if Harry and Meghan will buy a new UK residence.

Oh why did follow the link. 🤣I mean she has 11K views so M&B is still a thing somewhere and not just in the 2nd hand book stalls.

I’ve watched it every single time it gets a mention on here (thanks originally to Rousette) and I've laughed each time. “She loves to ride side saddle….I’m so excited.”

So you are all congratulating each other on your jokes about sex with "trafficked girls"?

Goodness me.

Cant speak for anyone else but I personally don't possess psychic abilities!!😁

@AliceOlive

I don't think so. There has been a coordinated response from the Royal Rota. Only Omid has comments from the Sussexes, which were then incorporated by others like DM who picked up the Sun story. The DM is doing major clean up on Aisle 4, speaking on behalf of Charles, along with other right wing channels like GBNews and TalkTV. They would not clean up for the Sussexes.

This happened a month ago. Meghan has kept a low profile except for a coffee ad and really hasn’t done very much at all over the past three/four months. It’s really interesting why people aren’t asking questions about why we’re hearing about it now. The language used to report that H&M have been asked to leave Frogmore is emotive and used specifically to conjure up continued impressions of conflict. This once again had led to speculation of whether they are upset “whining” “victims” and again more speculation about the coronation. Which drive clicks and page impressions.

Charles has had a bad week politically - not even W&K having a feel good spin bike moment have been able to pull that back.

Howsimplywonderful · 02/03/2023 00:22

I wonder if no longer having a U.K. residence will impact on Harry’s Home Office judicial review of his security status.

Not in my experience of mn. On mn, Adult step children in their 40s are not entitled to their step parent’s money.

AmandaJonah · 02/03/2023 01:06

No trust fund set up for Harry his actual child.

ComeTheFckOnBridget · 02/03/2023 01:10

Realistically, it's probably a pragmatic solution to housing royals going forward.

Andrew needs to move to somewhere affordable, there is a suitable property which has been abandoned by its leaseholders for, what, 3 years now? They have made it crystal clear they're not coming back to the UK and that the States is their permanent home.

Might feel harsh, but Charles will be looking to balance the books anew with his streamlined monarchy. He needs an appropriate place to live both as a bachelor Royal Prince getting on in life, and as a non-working royal. The Sussex's don't need it. They've said they're never returning (and at least won't consider helping out without certain preconditions which the other royals apparently won't meet). Harry and his family can stay at one of other many royal residences when visiting, probably one of the palaces which will go a long way to helping with their security concerns whilst keeping them in the bosom of the family.

Seems like a wholly suitable solution for everyone to me.

Am certainly not getting a tiny violin out for any multi millionaires with their own luxurious homes, or the means to obtain them.

Morestrangethings · 02/03/2023 01:58

BeatricePortinari · 01/03/2023 19:42

They've been asked to vacate a house they don't use because they now live in a bigger house.

The use of the word evict is to frame them as victims and does them no favours.

I don’t think the DM was using the word ‘evict’ to frame H&M as victims. But yes, I do believe the DM was doing them no favours by using it.

Littleflowerseverywhere · 02/03/2023 02:27

Can see why Andrew and his family are dismayed though. He’s being turfed out a 30 bed mansion for a 5 bed one. He’s going to bloody hate that as will his daughters.

good on Charles though, sensible decision. Wonder why it’s being leaked now.

Just checked. Eugenie and Jack only spend part of their time in Portugal. They moved out of Frogmore in November 2022 after drama with William and Kate. They are now in Nottingham Cottage.

Surprise surprise.

AliceOlive · 02/03/2023 04:28

It seems similar to an adult child’s parents telling them come get the rest of their stuff after they left it in their childhood bedroom for years.

Harry is almost forty, has a wife and two children. Time to grow up.

AliceOlive · 02/03/2023 04:30

@AmandaJonah Cosmo is a shitty resource. I’m sure you can find a better way to make your point. It is and has been trash for a good 3 decades now.

After reading this thread I thought I was the only one who still thinks he’ll definitely go to the coronation and thought I’d put £20 on it for a laugh- turns out the bookies also think he’ll be there, odds are hardly worth it.

I also think Harry will be at the coronation.

It’s a pity Meghan didn’t send that huge wardrobe of hers, almost all worn once only, to Smartworks.

That's a bit mean. Her clothes wouldn't necessarily be suitable for interviews. Smart works is a fab initiative that she's still very involved in. Lots of thanks from them to her.
How do you know what clothes were left here?

He will be a fool to do so.

So true. I think it's just sad that even when Meghan goes to ground, people are ridiculing her, mocking her, and this move about Frogmore in the news comes at a very opportune time. Ooops Charles, you need a diversion. We see that.

If I were Meghan, I would be floored by this. Basically quiet for 3 months yet still maligned in the press. I'm surprised her mental health isn't in the pits. It quite likely could be. But something tells me, posters on here would be crowing about that, and mocking her.

The eviction headlines in the bottom feeding rags are crass. How convenient to use M&H as scapegoats yet again. Unleash all the MNers with their 'waaaah' and 'whining' words and save posts along with pathetic memes that aren't even funny any more.

It was a gift from the Queen to them?
Can Charles remove other gifts given by the queen as a wedding present?

I think it's an appalling move from Charles as cammilas family comes into the coronation in a huge way.

DancingDaughter50 · 02/03/2023 06:32

M and h have said their piece and i think they need to move on with their lives. Emotionally and mentally leave all this crap behind.

However as a royal blood Prince I hope Harry and Megan and the dc come over for the coronation to take their place in history.

Howsimplywonderful · 02/03/2023 06:34

Why would Meghan and Harry even read the U.K. tabloids, why would they be upset about a lease not being renewed for a house they don’t spend any time in.

Harry has trashed his family and they’ve left. He’s made a condition for returning that isn’t acceptable to the RF so that’s it.

Time for everyone to move on, rather than all the drama. If they lived there okay, but it’s not even a holiday home, they don’t spend any time there.

poor omid is just desperate for content and I wouldn’t pay any attention to him.

DancingDaughter50 · 02/03/2023 06:38

Um because it was gifted to them as a wedding present by the queen?

DancingDaughter50 · 02/03/2023 06:38

Um because it was gifted to them as a wedding present by the queen?

No, the use of it was gifted, not the ownership.
They don’t use it. The queen has died.

It’s perfectly reasonable to let someone else use it. And if that other person is someone who happens to be an absolute horror who currently lives in much grander residence, all the better.

DancingDaughter50 · 02/03/2023 06:43

Other people have been using it. I believe many properties over Royal estates stay empty unfortunately.

Howsimplywonderful · 02/03/2023 06:48

Harry and Meghan seem happy enough in the photos. Isn’t it so so lucky that a US photographer knew where they were just as the story broke and they were out. hmmmm

Good morning all, what fresh hell awaits us today !

We live in an age of a new age Royal mistress - God Save the King ! There is more than a whiff of fin de siècle of the Ancien Régime here. The late Queen (no consort, she) joked rather menacingly, apparently that apres moi le deluge. Quite.

This grubby charade of musical houses is pretty bad optics given the state we're in, and it's looking as the UK declines in prosperity and authority the dissonance between the "People" and the Royal Family will only grow. Others have noted that there are hidden hands behind the institution who role is to defend and promote their power, but there may come a tipping point when the Windsor's collectively just throw in the towel, beset by dysfunctional relationships, the subject of constant negative scrutiny and a desire to live freely as hugely wealthy aristocratic commoners. Us Republicans are more their friends than their fawning flag-decked supporters, wistfully remembering a past gone forever, as we have the power to help them to leave their gilded cage.

Meanwhile, in other news, Prince William aka Willy .....

Prince William's visit to the homelessness charity The Passage had to be handled sensitively by aides, with the heir declaring: 'Everyone deserves a place to call home.'
