I have a suggestion that will free you from reading about Harry and Meghan. It's very simple. Just stop reading about them.

The media covers them because they are a money making industry, Just look at the Daily Mail. Look at how many articles they have written since January about Meghan, even in her absence. They even resorted to trawling through archived posts of The Tag to write new stories.

So here's a thought.

Stop feeding the machine by not clicking or reading this stuff. This way you can have "your privacy" back, whatever that means. You are on EVERY post about Meghan that is posted on Mumsnet. Evey post. You even speculate on stuff that has not happened, like their "divorce". So if you are really that tired of them, why not stop talking about them? Just switch off? And enjoy your "privacy".

Harry was William's spare as William was, at birth, the Heir Apparent to his father the Heir Apparent.

Andrew was Charles's spare as Charles was the Heir Apparent. Anne was never a "spare" she was the Heir Presumptive until her brother was born.

And Charlotte is George's spare as George is the Heir Apparent.

Elizabeth's father was the spare to his brother, and she was the Heir Presumptive because her claim could have been set aside if Edward had had a male child, thus superseding her. When her father became King she became the Heir Apparent with Margaret as her spare.
