I really really like her!! She's so respectful, humble, funny, chill and genuinely lovely! No drama, no backstabbing, no dissing the royals or even Harry. What a thoroughly nice person!

If Harry had stuck with her and she had stuck with him, they would likely have been a fantastic duo and I fully expect Harry would have turned out far more normal, down to Earth and waaaaaaay less wokey/therapy-speak/narcissistic & self absorbed etc.. (though might not have had such a positive impact on Sasha!)

Sasha, u r awesome!

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't an angry, combative, confrontational person incapable of interacting with people in any other way other than with verbal aggression.

So why do you post like one? are you like this in RL?

Oh, you don't like what you is reflected back to you in the mirror?
Then I suggest you stop coming over all aggressive to posters, like telling me to 'shut up' - you said that !

I will give you back the same energy you give on here.

notanotheroneagain · 12/02/2023 15:27

MrsMaxDeWinter · 12/02/2023 15:21

Precisely.

Except that there is a corner of the internet in which Meghan, at 14 years old "seduced" an adult man. Rather than point out that this would be the case if true, it is being discussed as evidence that she has been manipulative from the day she was born.

YouTubers have also hosted discussions where her father Thomas, I kid you not, was asked: did she have any abortions as a teenager? These are questions that her father actually addressed. It's frightening.

Goodness me, he engaged with that?
Ghastly !

Thanks for proving my point. Not just on this thread but on others.

notanotheroneagain · 12/02/2023 15:35

And what is your point, exactly?
That you go around being aggressive and rude to people, so that they can push back and you feign offence ?

MrsMaxDeWinter · 12/02/2023 15:48

notanotheroneagain · 12/02/2023 15:27

I couldn't believe it. Especially as his answer was "Not to my knowledge".

I know a lot is said about poor Thomas on here but his engagement with the crazier conspiracy YouTubers is more disturbing to me than his posing for any photos or even giving her letter to the press.

On a separate note, there are now no more exclamation marks left in the world as the OP has used them all up.

purpledalmation · 12/02/2023 16:35

For heavens sake, this isn't about Meghan. Nothing to do with her, it's a thread about a Harry and his treatment of a woman who acted with dignity for 21 years, only to be fed to the wolves for Harry's monetary gain. Harry who by the way, wants to protect at all cost his and his family's privacy, while blowing up the privacy of an innocent party. That's because Harry is a prince and is special. Sasha was simply the hired help (aka servant) and doesn't matter now, as she didn't matter than. Harry is quite frankly, a piece of shit.

That wasn't my intention! I just really like Sasha Walpole and was saying so! Then @samcro stirred it up a bit! (For which I seem to be getting the blame!) I never said anything bad about Meghan I don't think, but I do really like Sasha! I think she's great! ;) I've no opinion on Meghan really. I'm not keen on people that lie, and she seems to have done so, which lowers her in my opinion, but I don't know the woman, so can't really pass comment. Sasha seems lovely.

I would not say that either is better than the other. They probably come out level pegging. Both were happy to have 'fun' with him from the get-go.
Obviously, Sasha is a practical no-nonsense type doing a physically difficult job so she is not going to have Meghan's budget for improving her appearance and I'm not sure she would want to go down the waxwork route. However, she clearly had a lot more in common with Harry and his friends.
It's just that meeting him as a teenager when they were messing around (Sasha) was very different to meeting him when he was desperate to settle down (Meghan).

You may be on the wrong thread as this is a thread about how awesome and normal Sasha is and how Harry should have married her and not Meghan.

As the OP says:

If Harry had stuck with her and she had stuck with him, they would likely have been a fantastic duo and I fully expect Harry would have turned out far more normal, down to Earth and waaaaaaay less wokey/therapy-speak/narcissistic & self absorbed etc..

Unless of course I am reading the OP wrong. I may have been dazzled by all the exclamation marks.

You seem to have set off the Batshit Signal, OP.

MrsMaxDeWinter · 12/02/2023 16:58

@derxa

So how is a thread wishing Harry had married a woman he had a teenage bonk in a field with, and not married Meghan, not a thread about Meghan?

ChocMarshmallows · 12/02/2023 16:58

I'm not sure how this turned from a post about how lovely Sasha is, into some people trying to suggest I'm Meghan bashing or worse, racist. Please stop bringing in race or Meghan bashing when neither apply here. I just think Sasha seems great. If she was also mixed race I'd say the same thing.

Colour/appearance and my opinion of Meghan have nothing to do with it.

Sasha has shown dignity, grace, humbleness, humour and a down to earth attitude. Harry appeared happier in the days he was hanging about with her and their pals and William as a group.

Please just leave the race comments at the door. It is not related. You don't know anything about my own heritage and are making massive assumptions from things I haven't said.

Good grief, OP, he was 17!! I remember what I was like at 17, it bore no resemblance to what I was like when I was nearing 40!

We were all very different when we were in our teens, how can you say.... oh he was happy then, and now he isn't?!

You talk like you know this Sasha woman. You don't. She might be lovely. She might be a right cow. You are just reading the msm and talking like you know her!

I can post what I like on any thread on MN within talk guidelines. If that's alright with you.

CPL593H · 12/02/2023 17:05

SW does sound nice and I've got a lot of sympathy with the situation she's recently been put in, but most of us don't end up with our teenage partners/fumble/crush/love/whatever and just as well. I do know a couple of honourable exceptions of my age (60 near as damn) who've had their Ruby wedding anniversary in their late 50s, but it is pretty rare these days.

I'm plenty critical of Harry, but it seems disingenuous to suggest he should have "stuck" with her or vice versa. He gives every impression of genuinely loving Meghan, no reason I can see to doubt he does.

Not really sure why I've seriously typed this, fairness and balance I suppose.

ChocMarshmallows · 12/02/2023 17:06

Crikey!!! This very light-hearted thread about Sasha Walpole and her dignity and grace has descended rather quickly into everyone piling on and some nastiness and aggression!! Wish some mumsnetters were a little more dignified and a bit kinder!

Of course you are Meghan bashing.

If you had left it at "Sasha is so lovely etc etc" that would have been enough.

But no, you had to go on to say if he had married her, he would be normal, not woke, bla, bla, bla.

Meaning you not only wish he had not married the person he actually married, Meghan, but you blame that person for the person he is now.

You are also elevating a five minute bonk, which was regretted by both parties, into a relationship that should have been :forever" while disparaging his actual relationship, which has sustained for more than 5 years and produced two children.

And when people say they don't care whether someone is black white or purple, it raises red flags. Not only because no-one is purple so it's demeaning of people of colour to "otherise" us as colours that don't exist in humans, but because you are devaluing experiences of racism by saying they don't matter because YOU choose not to see them.

You started it with this....

"If Harry had stuck with her and she had stuck with him, they would likely have been a fantastic duo and I fully expect Harry would have turned out far more normal, down to Earth and waaaaaaay less wokey/therapy-speak/narcissistic & self absorbed etc."

That's unpleasant not light hearted.

ChocMarshmallows · 12/02/2023 17:09

I've re-read my OP and I think people have read into it that I genuinely think he and Sasha should have stayed together!! It was just meant as a light hearted thread pondering how things may have been if they did. I never meant people to get so defensive about it all! Of course I know that the person you have a quickie with age 16 is hardly likely to be the person you settle down with. I think some have taken me a tad too seriously.

Anyway, interesting to see how the thread panned out! Don't think I'll venture onto Mumsnet again for a while!!! It's vicious 🙂🍷
