Rebecca Brooks was under Murdoch’s umbrella. She is a favourite editor of his and last I read (a few years ago) she was still safely under Murdoch’s umbrella. When Harry spoke about her he would have known full well who has her back - Brooks has nothing to fear from Harry. He words just conveyed what many people probably feel about her.
I just read what was said in the piers akerman/Sasha Walpole interview. piers, a slick operator, asked leading questions.
“During the interview, Morgan took a dig at Walpole, who worked as a digger driver, and Meghan with the comment: “He’s gone from a digger to a gold digger!”
To this, Walpole laughed along and replied, “Yep, you could put it like that,” and also shared how she also referred to Harry as ‘H’, just like Meghan famously does.
Morgan then asked Walpole if she thinks Prince Harry had ‘traded up or down’ from her, to which she said: “Definitely down!”

I wont criticise her for the things she said, even though Meghan is in no way part of this particular story, as it was piers that asked leading questions and directed the interview where he wanted it to go. Walpole has no experience of being interviewed by media.
I did laugh when I read that she refers to Harry as ‘H’ - given how a few posters on mn have mocked Meghan repeatedly for doing that very thing.
It was just a shame she chose to do the interview with piers, Given the awful stuff he’s said about Meghan for years now, and how he was dragging Meghan into this story, although Meghan had no part in it. Another interviewer, one a little less unbalanced about Meghan, would have been better, imo.
The only piers ackerman tv spot I can remember seeing is the morning when his cohosts had definitely had enough of Piers whingeing on and on about Meghan, and one of them told him so. Piers became irate and spat the dummy, storming off like a 3 year old in a tantrum. piers can dish it out but he can’t take it - he’s very thin skinned.
