🤣 have you listened to it? He's hardly Stephen Fry. Harry doesn't know how to recite a book. The few excerpts I've heard have been very monotonous. No emotion, just a child concentrating on reading it correctly.

Well she was raised only child wasent she ,she's not lying ,she's her mother's only child and her dad's third child ,but had two much older half siblings who she didn't ever live with it have much to do with sometime,s that happens in blended families for various reasons
Now I'm sure loads of posters will now say their own " blended " family is lovely and harmonious and everyone feels part of one big happy family
But from.personal experience that's not always the case .

I have two step siblings. Someone could come up with photos of us at a family event. I have met them less than 10 times and would not necessarily recognise them in the street as an adult.
There is a big difference between I met this person as a kid, and I know this person I spent a lot of time with as a kid.

I knew someone for over 2yrs. Had seen and met her parents and brother. One day she greets someone who actually lives in her neighbourhood, I ask "who is that", she says "my half brother from dad". Turns out the dad had been married before and had 3 dc. I never heard her mention them ever. She explained she never grew up with them, and did not really know them as siblings, just aware that is by birth and occasional meetings.

Yep.for various reasons my boys have a similar relationship with their ( half) sister they didn't grow up.With her and contact has been on and off ,yes they are half siblings but she's had doesn't always mean there will be a strong sibling bond and by contrast I know she has a much stronger sibling relationship between herself and her maternal ( half ) brother who she did grow up.with.

She said she grew up as an only child.

Doesn't the statement actually have to be defamatory to be sued for? (Ie lower someone's estimation in the eyes of right minded people" -case was someone accusing someone of reporting a faulty gambling machine -most normal people would think that a good thing to report. Therefore accusing someone of "grassing" isn't defamation.

Here if it's claimed she is an only child, that defames no one. We just think she is bending the truth. Not that Samantha is lying about her parentage.

On that basis there is no case.

Motion to dismiss will be heard on the 15th of February. I'd pay more attention when it moves past it.

As an aside I really don't like a judge, sorry "judge" using the phrase "preliminary peek", not very professional if that is a direct quote.
