My eldest and youngest have a bigger age gap than that and very definitely think of themselves as siblings.

I can’t stand Harry and Meghan anymore but she’s worse.

I saw that Samantha was interviewed on the youtube channel of Shawn Attwood but she never seemed to say much. Just like Meghan and Harry have suddenly gone quiet on the racism accusations they made previously. It is all a game.

Meghan's paternal side of the family are like the cast of shameless;they are embarrassing money grabbers.

They need to shut up and go off and live their own lives.Quietly.

There was almost 20 years between my dad & his sister. They regarded themselves as siblings. Interestingly as my aunt was very unwell when she had her eldest he was sent to live with my grandparents. My dad & cousin grew up together & regarded themselves as siblings also. He was 2 years younger than my dad!

I think its pathetic. That Sam has made a proper exhibition of herself and now she's just after money. It's a disgusting spectacle.
Everyone should just calm down and get on with their lives.

The only way they could establish common ground would be if Meghan moved socially upwards (but it was too much of a challenge) or if Harry went socially downwards. The first proved impossible so they did the second.

There is 18 years between my dh and his eldest sister. She used to bring him on holidays with his mum and later with her own children. There is 15 years between him and his next sibling and again she was really protective of him. He had a difficult home life and she offered to pay to send him to boarding school which as someone in her late twenties was a very kind thing to do, but he didn’t take them up on it. They still get on really well and regularly meet up and speak as siblings and dh has been able to help them which has made him happy.

It's very sad when people have resentful and vindictive relatives who try and make money out of vague and speculative accusations in public.

Given that's what H&M have done to his family, it is difficult to scrape together much sympathy for them when they are on the receiving end.

Both 'teams' seem to be pretty unpleasant.

The writing was on the wall before the ring was on the finger. He made his own bed but he wants his whole family to lie in it with him now.

It's like Meghan has to be seen as perfect so he will turn his family into trailer park trash to match hers and make her feel good except that his happens to have a slightly more luxurious trailer. Silly man.

At the end of the day, Meghan likes to pretend that she didn't know her half siblings and that they barely had a relationship. The latter might be true but there's plenty of photos of them together and we all know she was very close with her dad, who seems to be close with his other children. I think the age gap didn't help but I think it's madness to say that they're like strangers to her.
Good on Sam making some money out of the situation, just like they have!

I'm team 'never heard of Samantha'. It's a bit like a soap opera which is getting boring, so a new character is brought in to enliven it.

I'm not a huge Meghan fan but don't think she's said or done anything wrong here. FWIW, I have two much older half-brothers with a similar age gap between us and have always thought and talked of myself as an only child. Unlike Meghan's relatives, said half-brothers are highly educated, perfectly respectable people, so there's no reason at all to 'hide' them, but I've only met them about a dozen or so times, we don't have a relationship and I haven't seen them in at least ten years.

I also don't see how Meghan incorrectly claiming she's only only child or didn't have a relationship with her half-siblings could possibly be defamatory of Samantha or anything a court could be interested in. Lying (I don't even think Meghan was lying here, but whatever) is not illegal as such and none of it is any of Samantha's bloody business. She needs to go away and STFU.

Interesting though that Harry and Meghan can sell their story and it's all very classy and slick, if the markles do the same thing they are trashy. It's just good and bad PR. As for a lawsuit, dream on Sam....🍟
