Well.she can,but as she didn't bring her daughter up.or have very much to.do.with her for most of her life I think the Onus is on Samantha ,really for having a crap.relationship with her daughter she can't really blame Meghan for that.

I don't think shes blaming meghan for anything other than misrepresenting the truth as other people see it, and one of those misrepresentations are that meghan wasn't allowed to invite anyone but her mother.

Go Sam. I’m tired of only hearing one side.

If it is dismissed it will probably be because the Judge recognizes that US citizens are fed up to their back teeth of hearing from Harry and Meghan. They are such a joke in the US, I can't even put it in words. Americans are even more dismissive of them than Brits.

That is not how the US Courts work. They don't dismiss cases because of popularity.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/02/2023 14:29

Why does Harry get slagged off for criticising his family, yet the Markles aren't, for trashing their sister?

Surprised you seem to have missed all the criticism aimed at Thomas and Samantha on here ... much of which is justified IMO, but little of which addresses why it's apparently okay for H&M to trash others but not for her family to do so

Personally I believe the whole lot of them are behaving like horrors, and that includes the palace. A pity in some ways that the Jeremy Kyle Show ended, because they'd all probably do quite well on it

That's not what Meghan said on the Netflix programme she said she was advised that questions would be asked why her niece was invited but not her ( half ) sister so it would be easier not to invite either Ashley or Samantha, and Ashley seemed to agree even though she appeared upset ,if You want Samantha to be allowed her truth ,
than you also have to allow Ashley to have her truth, too as I'm sure she knows far more about her and her mother's seemingly non existent relationship than you do
even if it doesn't go.along with your Narrative that Meghan is to blame for everything.

onlylarkin · 08/02/2023 14:36

Also, Harry is a record breaking New York Times best selling author in the US and there is already talk of a Grammy nomination.for the Spare audio.

Meghans Podcast won a People's Choice Award.

The Netflix special broke viewing hour records.

I think people are under estimating their popularity in the US.

Samantha ,s daughter was very clear she didn't have a relationship with her mum.and was quite upset that her relationship with Meghan had broken down due to.the wider family ,s action s

This. Samantha has not had a relationship with her own children for most of their lives. Meghan and the wedding had nothing to do with it.

starlingdarling · 08/02/2023 15:00

I don't believe she was advised against inviting her. Samantha was making an arse of herself in the lead up to wedding. Nobody would have questioned why she wasn't invited. It was obvious to anyone who watched the news.

meatballsoup · 08/02/2023 15:03

The lawsuit is petty but it would be so much fun to watch them squirm if they are deposed.

ThePoshUns · 08/02/2023 15:09

I'm team ' enjoying the next episode of the best soap opera' . Great entertainment.

Not sure? Maybe you should brush up on it? 😆

custardbear · 08/02/2023 17:38

didn't Meghan only invite her mum from her family? And wasn't she absent for sone of her childhood?
Weird fucked up family

Thay would explain week 1 on the NYT list, not necessarily weeks 2 and 3.

Harry is doing very well for himself out from under the thumb of the Royal Family.

His audio book is, in fact, worthy of a Grammy.

It will be exciting here in the US, we only have one other Prince with Grammy. 💜🤣

She says she was given 'guidance' by the palace......

She says: 'The guidance at the time was to not have her [Ashleigh] come to our wedding. I was in the car with H, I called her… and we talked her through what guidance we were being given.'

The Palace say no such guidance on who Meghan could invite was given, it was MMs own decision.

What does common sense say to you?

It was MMs wedding and she was told not to invite family, or the Palace said she could invite who she wanted? If anyone seriously believes a bride is instructed to invite only one member of her family, they need a reality check. Of course meghan knows she can say what she likes because there would be no official contradiction. My point (which you are missing) is that if this came up in a court of law a palace official would HAVE to give evidence. ...As they did in the newspaper trial and exposed meghan as the liar she was proven to be.

Weird fucked up family

and dear old unnatractive dad was ghosted and not even visited in hospital after a heart attack by his loving daughter or his devoted son in law.
A lovely pair of humanitarians demonstrating #bekind and human decency.

I'm sure they are happy with their own little family because they sure as hell have both shat on their extended families.

Apparently, she felt that Ashley needed more security than the palace were willing to pay for so it was mainly a battle of wills between Meghan and the RF with Ashley stuck in the middle - sound familiar?

purpledalmation · 08/02/2023 20:13

Apparently, she felt that Ashley needed more security than the palace were willing to pay for so it was mainly a battle of wills between Meghan and the RF with Ashley stuck in the middle-sound familiar?

Why would a nobody from an obscure family in america need such high level security? And what about the rest of the family? Can't remember oprah winfrey surrounded by men in black sunglasses. The obvious answer is her family weren't good enough for her and didn't fit with her carefully crafted image. Feel quite sorry for meghan having worked so hard to concoct a glamorous fiction all her life and her family were all set to ruin it.

🤣 have you listened to it? He's hardly Stephen Fry. Harry doesn't know how to recite a book. The few excerpts I've heard have been very monotonous. No emotion, just a child concentrating on reading it correctly.

Oh, I'm sure it is the best thing Larkin has ever read.
