@notanotheroneagain "To me, sorry, but it sounds very much like a poc complaining about institutional racism and telling them 'just go then'.".
But H&M wanted to be half in and half out; ie pick and choose the most interesting things to do, and monetise the RF the rest of the time. This was on their website. However, apparantly the late Queen, said you can either be in or out, but not both. They chose 'out'.
Rumours have circulated that they were always going to leave and had lined up the OW interview before the wedding.
I think Charles would rather they had stayed, as although he reportedly wanted a slimmed down monarchy, the absence of H&M leave them a bit thin on the ground, considering the older ones (Anne, Sophie, Edward, etc) are going to get older, and it will be some years before George, Charlotte and Louis are old enough, and as had been said before there is no reason why one should just assume they will want to be 'working' royals (ie represent the State at State functions, etc).
In fact we only have Harry's word that anything at all was said about Archie's potential skin colour. Harry said 1 conversation before they married, Meghan said several conversations, when she was pregnant.
Secondly, I personally would not have known what 'straight out of Compton meant', as I have never heard of Compton, which was apparently reported by a US based journalist in the Daily Mail?, (I think).
I DO think there is a problem with ALL 'Spares', as it seems to me, especially with P. Harry, that an assumption was made about his role in the RF, and there was no thought given to any alternative career path.
