Did William really cheat on Kate?

I keep hearing this rumour and I'm just curious to know where it comes from? Where is the evidence?

I don't believe in smoke without fire and had someone made it up I'm pretty sure he would of gone after them and sued them like other famous people have when lies have been told.

There definitely can be smoke without fire, and unfortunately any spiteful person can take away another's good name because some people believe that expression. That's all it is, an expression.

As for saying 'he would have gone after them and sued' if it wasn't true, I presume that would only give more credence to it - in some people's eyes.

I personally know a robin that landed on the palace window one time and said that William wears mismatched socks. Pass it on...

You mean after they married? There was always pictures when they were dating, with William, getting "close" to other women. Not so much in British tabloids. Same with the cheating rumours. Yeah wonder why 🙄

Won’t say the name of my company but I work for a big media organisation associated within the news

In 2019 a very senior colleague was sent a message from the liaison at the palace asking us not to report on the affair with Rose, instead they could give us other info in exchange for the company’s avoidance on the matter.

At the time the French press had run the story openly, quoting sources, but the palace had threatened the UK press with legal action if they ran it saying it “was against Prince William’s human rights” to have his life written about in this way. The UK press felt they couldn’t name the affair explicitly, so instead began writing about a “falling out” between Kate and her neighbour Rose.

The fact of the matter is that the French press incl Vanity fair have named this woman - IN PRINT - and still the royals haven’t sued them for defamation, nor has Rose sued them for defamation. Why would they not do that if it weren’t true?

This was also supposed to the biggest argument between Harry and William, his finding out about the affair.

I can’t be outing but I have family connections and have heard conversations and 100% he did.

Some people on here are very sure he didn’t simply because it doesn’t fit their narrative/view of him.

Some people are so gullible they fall for anything in the media.

You've only go to look at the photos of them both, going back years, to see they are really in love and dote on each other.

Given the fallout after Diana and Charles for their kids, William would be an utter fool to have an affair.

He hasn't and the sooner posters like @ttcstop stop posting this crap the better.

None of us will probably ever know for sure but I think this ^^ is a little naive given that the aristocracy live by very different rules to the average person.

I think if you have grown up with infidelity and affairs being the norm and you are very privileged, so have the time and opportunity, then I think you are quite likely to follow suit.

And sorry but I don’t think you can go by any pictures of K and W in public. She is a savvy person and probably knew the score before she married and gets on with life regardless. Not easy for her though if the rumours are true.

At the same time I think it’s ridiculous that so many people in this day and age are so invested in these flawed imperfect people to the degree that they want them somehow to represent an idealistic representation of family life!

And for K and W personally, all of the public scrutiny and the fact that their love lives and children are fodder to sell papers is tantamount to psychological torture!

Bring on the republic I say!

Interestingly there are people / posters who want to divide us into royalists v. republicans. It's Brexit all over again. The juicest thing about this whole ridiculous virtual soap opera is that we all allegedly fall into one of two camps.

It's about manipulating the masses and steering up hatred. We are supposed to either hate the Sussexes or hate the royal family.

Posters like the one who started this thread are using the term royalist when most people wouldn't consider themselves royalists but are fed up with the negativity Harry flings around. And as prince Harry fans, they also must be into the royal family, so it's all hypocritical. It's a Wales against Sussex online popularity contest.

Nothing to do with the monarchy as such and all to do with basic human stories, family feuds, jealousy, envy, love. It's all a bit of fun as long as you remember that you, the MN poster, are an active participant in this spectacle. With each post that declares your loyalty to either camp, you are contributing to division and perpetuating the story.

I don't know - If I bother to think about it I think it's likely just because there is a history of male infidelity in his family, and he has the money and opportunity.

But whether he has or not is none of my business - it's between him and his wife, and IF it happened, they have obviously come to terms with it.. I don't give it a thought unless something like this thread comes up, TBH.
