Where is Meghan?

I haven't seen hide-nor-hair of Meghan since the book release which is uncharacteristic of her. Even with the Montecito floods there was no news. So I'm wondering how this is playing out? Happiness or anger behind closed doors?

Perhaps she has now read "Spare" and is regretting her marriage. I know I would be.

She's smart enough to see the damage that 'H' has done to the Markle brand with the backlash to his book, so is keeping a low profile. She has ambitions of high office and this will have hurt her. I predict in a year they will have parted. She will get a divorce settlement from the King to keep her and the children in luxury forever, and Harry will be back here living in isolation under medical supervision. Let's face it, Harry is not the brightest or the best looking, and if he had been working in a supermarket she wouldn't give him a second glance. He had Prince before his name, and that was crucial to her ambitions.

Agree. Her prolonged absence is really gaining traction on Tiktok these few days, the general consensus being that there have been issues regarding the impact of the book.

Many people here seem hellbent on the idea that they have a fairytale marriage and clearly love each other till the end of days blabla. But the reality is that marriages fail all the time, even in happy and peaceful homes with two psychologically stable partners.

Having two small kids is already a significant enough stressor that breaks many regular marriages. Imagine the additional stressors that H&M have to deal with (money, security, fame, work, mental health, past trauma etc). Literally a matter of time before the camel's back snaps, if it hasn't already.

I think pregnant because it’ll stop some of the criticism - and despite his previous claims of only wanting two, Harry won’t want to be outdone by William.

Her being pregnant has never stopped anyone criticising her before (the opposite in fact).

My theory is that Harry made himself look really foolish and horrible in Spare just to make Meghan look good in comparison because he is besotted/deluded and also because they had already been told that their joint brand was not lucrative and separate projects is the way forward anyway.
Perhaps he will play up his notoriety while she will aim to project that faux deep, philosophical, 'bekind' living meme.

I once heard a Hollywood PR person on a podcast talk about how they time appearances to avoid the "overexposure" effect and yet achieve maximum saturation.

The PR firm H&M signed with immediately upon moving to the US specialises in entertainment celebrities. To mention a few of their clients: Leo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, etc. So realistically everything H&M do is probably from the Hollywood playbook.

They have a 4 book deal, the next one is Meghan's memoir so she's probably laying low now before the full publicity tour for her memoir

Her "be kind" mantra would carry more weight if she applied it to her own family. She might have had her mother at the wedding, but where was mum when she disappeared for 18 years and left her Dad to raise her? Her uncle is an academic and helped with her career - no invite to the nuptials for him either. She befriended many slebs in London in her quest for a wealthy and famous boyfriend - Ashley Cole had a lucky escape! I knew she was trouble from the off, despite all the "breath of fresh air" media comments.

Highly unlikely of VB, didn’t it come out later it was a hairdresser or beautician. I thought there was something about Meghan annoyed she wasn’t getting freebies from VB.

Well quite right Harry. People who leak private conversations are despicable, aren't they?
That man-child has no awareness or self-reflection.

I bet Meghan is totally repulsed by that leaky todger now that she has completed her family and literally deserves payment for going anywhere near it. Even a regular person would run a mile at this point let alone an image/glamour obsessed one.

I can totally see her maintaining a distance from him now that she has asset stripped.

I wonder if they will live together for the kids leading separate lives in an open marriage kind of situation until it gets found out.

I think it’s more likely she is writing her own tell all book , buoyed up by how well Spare is selling. I don’t think they will split up anytime soon. They will eventually though.

She is definitely the brains, beauty, charisma and strategy in this partnership - can’t see what she sees in him apart from the opportunity for self/social/financial elevation - agrees once she has optimised that she will be off.

I can believe she is keeping him at arms length now. According to him Archie says to Lilibet “I need my space”. Where does a kid that age get that from? Obviously hears it from one of the parents to the other. I can guess which one.

What a weird thing for such a young child to say. Agree he must have heard it from his parents . His first word was ‘hydrate’ if you remember!

Reminds me of when I was helping at ds’s play school (compulsory!) and a little girl in the Home Corner was saying, “I can’t believe you’ve been busy all day! Everywhere’s a mess and there’s no dinner.” The playgroup leader said the things she learnt about people’s home lives was nobody’s business 😳

Also reminds me of how badly Louis treats Kate, pointing a finger in her face and covering her mouth. Must be behaviour learned from watching how William treats Kate.
