The point is that a lot of what Harry says seems to contain some truth but is not wholly truthful or accurate. He doesn't seem to think that matters. And the publisher doesn't seem to have fact checked. So a flippant anecdote about TK Maxx presumably intended to imply a lack of cash, no big deal. An exaggeration of the gesture made to Thomas Markle intended to show generosity, not the biggest deal but makes you wonder about accounts of their other dealings with him. An inaccurate description of hearing about the Queen Mother's death - saying it was from a nameless courtier while alone at school rather than with your closest family on a luxury holiday, a bigger deal. And then if you apply the same logic to the rest of the book there are accounts of events that are a very big deal indeed. And if they are also not wholly truthful or accurate, well...

Exactly, ANZ don't have the traffic rights to fly passengers between the two countries, AFAIK never have done....

What he says has complete truth. The issue is some of you want to go on a word smithing exercise. People’s memories on such minor details may not be precise. That’s the nature of autobiographies.

If the mistruths are all about semantics or flight paths way back when, then his researchers have done a great job with the fact checking. These minor things are just that, minor.

Here is a fact worth checking: Is Harry’s book selling like hot cakes? The world’s view on this unhinged behaviour in the U.K. will only solidify. Harry’s point about the media and the Royal Family is being made loud and clear. Each time these petty articles appear, Harry will look good. He has caught them in a death spiral - they must talk about “sources” said William is feeling this way or that and they must go on this unhinged drive to undermine Harry. Well then, simply proves what Harry is saying about both these things.

FWIW ANZ certainly used to run a service UK - LAX (think it was actually an around the world operation) so I guess it's possible that might involved here - maybe I was harsh calling it a complete fabrication but I'd put money on nobody flying on an ANZ aircraft First Class from Mexico to UK.

But it's like saying "I flew first class to New York with Ryanair". That route and class just do not exist. It's a lie. Now, the editor should have picked up on this, but I suspect they are RF fans and have just let Harry dig himself deeper and deeper...
